Hello Marisol! You don't have to hang lights. We much prefer to light up this style of draping with wireless uplighting. The main reason why is that setting the uplighting takes 2 minutes white hanging lights takes 2 hours. Use 2 slightly different uplight colors to create depth in your photos. I included some really good links below that I think you will like! >> photo of draping shipour.wedding/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/red_ceiling_draping.jpg >> link to uplighting shipour.wedding/rentals/uplighting/wireless-up-lighting/
what was the height of the ceiling in this video. What would be the ideal height for this draping look? thank you. I have a bride that really wants draping but I think the ceiling at the venue is to low. however this ceiling does not look to be super high. I would love to order a kit.
Hello, the height in the video is 16ft tall I believe. Here is an example of drapery with lower ceiling heights ❤ facebook.com/watch/?v=450304815647372

You can use carabiners or magnetic hooks to attach draping to metal beams (that hold up the ceiling). If your ceiling is open, then it will have these, because the roof of the building needs to be held up by some kind of metal structure. If your ceiling is plaster then it is finished and you can not hang fabric unless you drill holes & create mounting points into load-bearing areas. If your venue doesn't have a drop ceiling then it either has a finished ceiling or an open ceiling. A finished ceiling is made of plaster so the only way to hang fabric from a finished ceiling is to drop holes and attach hooks into load-bearing surfaces (a surface that can support weight). The other style of ceiling is an open ceiling. This has metal beams that go across the ceiling. This is a VERY common style because the metal beam serves the purpose of holding up the roof. If you have a metal be, then you can attach drapery to that ceiling style using a combination of carabiners, zip ties, pipe cleaners, and magnetic hooks.
