It’s a quick & discreet way for event pros to check that everything is working correctly from a distance - similar to how electrical crews use visible indicators to confirm power continuity after large storms that cause city-wide power outages. Emergency teams can see green lights while driving down streets in the elevated transformer box every 100 feet to show that the circuit is intact. That said, there are easy solutions to minimize the visibility of the blinking light. The uplights can be rotated so the indicator is out of sight, or you can cover it with a small piece of tape if you prefer. As for how the lights are used at events, they're generally placed around the perimeter of the room, particularly in banquet halls, with the primary focus on lighting up the walls. Since the uplights are often positioned behind tables or in less noticeable areas, the blinking light tends to be out of view of your guests. The fabric is poly silk fabric. It is 25ft long with out a pole pocket. The recommended amount is (4) nine foot wide panels of fabric per 10 foot crossbar section. You can use 3 panels of fabric per 10 foot of crossbar if you are running low. The drapes were put to a height of 10 feet tall. Hi Elizabeth. The hardware is called baseplates, uprights, crossbars, & draping. The size for building the skeleton in this video was 360 linear feet of draping. So that is 36 sections of 10' draping. In each section, we recommend (4) pieces of draping. So we used a total of 144 pieces of draping. To secure the fabric to the ceiling boards, follow these steps: 1.) Secure the Fabric: Start by tightening a zip tie around the fabric, but leave it slightly loose-about 95% tight. This will create a small gap between the zip tie and the fabric. 2.) Insert the Pipe Cleaner: Slide a pipe cleaner into the gap between the zip tie and the fabric, positioning it so it’s centered on the zip tie. 3.) Tighten the Zip Tie: Finish tightening the zip tie completely. This will hold the pipe cleaner securely in place. 4.) Trim Excess: Cut off any excess length from the zip tie. 5.) Position the Drapery: Gently lift and move the drapery piece towards the ceiling. 6.) Secure with S-Hooks/C-Hooks: Insert the pipe cleaner into the holes of the drop ceiling grid and twist it to secure the fabric in place. Regarding the C-hooks, we used standard C-hooks designed for ceiling grids. Hello this should however our garlands are 8ft long. You need to make sure that this length will cover your arch and also that there is enough room to fit the arch inside the garland.

You need a stable mounting surface. The beams had eye bolts. We easily used zip ties to attach the strands to the beams on the eye bolts. Always use multiple zip ties this way you have a fail safe incase 1 of the zip ties breaks. I hope this helps!

The draping was mounted to a steel I beam above the drop ceiling tiles. Every large banquet room will either use these beams or pillars to hold up the roof of the building. Since this room does not have a bunch of pillars (because it would be an eye-sore in a large reception space), the venue has to use steel I beams. www.contractortalk.com/attachments/above-ceiling-jpg.365170/

There is not a name for this venue. The space their reception was held was in the garage complex for a newly constructed condo facility owned by the family hosting the event.

You can use carabiners or magnetic hooks to attach draping to metal beams (that hold up the ceiling). If your ceiling is open, then it will have these, because the roof of the building needs to be held up by some kind of metal structure. If your ceiling is plaster then it is finished and you can not hang fabric unless you drill holes & create mounting points into load-bearing areas. If your venue doesn't have a drop ceiling then it either has a finished ceiling or an open ceiling. A finished ceiling is made of plaster so the only way to hang fabric from a finished ceiling is to drop holes and attach hooks into load-bearing surfaces (a surface that can support weight). The other style of ceiling is an open ceiling. This has metal beams that go across the ceiling. This is a VERY common style because the metal beam serves the purpose of holding up the roof. If you have a metal be, then you can attach drapery to that ceiling style using a combination of carabiners, zip ties, pipe cleaners, and magnetic hooks.
