The BMS team is the hero of flight sim fans everywhere. They do not get the recognition they deserve.
In a way that's good- if we got a huge influx of youngsters and other less disciplined types, they would bring drama with them that does not currently exist.
Steel Beasts Pro PE is like this also. We do not want to be big and bring the less emotional pondering crowd that would tamper negatively with the gameplay and forums.

BMS is overrated. Sure its great if your broke and have no money, but the weaponeering in BMS bad. Individual CBU bomblets aren’t modeled as an example. It’s just one big explosion.

I remember, 16 years ago, dogfighting a MiG-29 who did a Cobra on me and totally got behind me and setup for a shot. 16 years ago!

@@getsideways7257 Falcon 4 with the either the FreeFalcon or Red Viper mod. I had a MiG-29 do a Cobra on me the other day in BMS too. I hate dogfighting those things!
@@iamfritz Well, many people take sudden pitch-ups for a Cobra, but that maneuver is only possible with a certain sets of aerodynamical features and a particular CoG placement - a Fulcrum can't do it.

F-16 is much better modeled that in DCS, as far as I heard. But just to install this thing is such a pain in the ass

I’ve been playing since Falcon AF. Free Falcon -> Open Falcon -> BMS. I swear every time I think it’s as far as it can go… they just do it again

@@ajkulac9895 I just did - havent really touched DCS since 5/1and I dont miss it. Pre-ordered F4-E if that tells you anything...i havent even flown it...(and like you I started with F4, then the LOMAC days->DCS, now BMS)

Looks terrific. Been a DCS guy for many years, but the fact they still haven't bothered to even attempt to make ATC functional makes me want to give BMS a shot. I played Falcon 4: Allied Force many many years ago, perhaps it's time to go back and play this new iteration.
Do it - was a DCS guy since LOMAC days. To be fair I played F4 wayyyy back. I recently installed BMS and I havent even launched DCS since, and I preordered the F-4E if that tells you anything!
As a BMS virtual pilot/player and as a dedicated BMS content creator I strongly recommend that you try BMS ✌️😎✌️
@@automag928 I started in the LOMAC Flaming Cliffs days too. DCS has come a long way in some respects but the game definitely favours cockpit simulator gameplay as opposed to real war fighting and airmanship. It’s depressing that after almost 20 years of playing it we still have the same brain dead ATC from the initial LOMAC days. Not to mention how frustrating the mission editor is compared to F4.0
While ED does move quite slowly in some areas, I feel I really have to take issue with your phrase 'haven't bothered to even attempt'.
That is factually false. They've been actively working on a complete ATC overhaul for some time now - it actually seems like one of their biggest current activities. Based on what's being worked on, it could end up being the most faithful and intricated recreation of AI-based ATC communications in any sim.
Please try not to just make stuff up in future.
DCS, in my experience, is fine if you want to fly the plane (you more than likely bought). BMS simulates an actual war, as well as stuff DCS does not do. ATC, certin features of the F-16, etc. DCS is flashy, while BMS just deos it's job.

Rediscovered Falcon 4.0...AGAIN!
Back in the day, I played Falcon 4.0 for hundreds of hours. Had to install by loading about 14 floppy diskettes. Oh how I missed that game since.
Today, the UA-cam algorithm selected a trailer for BMS 4.37 Update 4. Why YT selected that, I have no idea. I thought this was for a new game, so I clicked it. Watched. Went to the website. It mentioned it's a mod for Falcon 4.0 and had a link to this Steam page for Falcon 4.0. Immediately bought and installed.
I am so looking forward to playing again and adding the BMS mod.
You sure it's not Falcon 3.0? 4.0 came in a CD and a 500+ page manual.

Played Falcon 4.0 since Falcon 4.0. What the BMS guys are doing is AAA quality. 4.37 with VR was a game changer. On par with the Richard Burns Rally crew. Thank you for keeping it alive. o7

Mixed Reality implementation is INCREDIBLE. I never even considered it as an option before. BMS leads the way in flight sims... again.

But when BMS came out in 87' ... I think 4.37 is their undisputed masterpiece.

Oh my god. The subtle display of multiple aircraft in the JHMCS. It even has the correct label : L16
Yo DCS mods had a literal conniption fit on their forums because I asked why the TGT SEP button didn't work on the f-16C. They can kiss any more money from me goodbye.. Glad I only bought the f-16C at half price before I figured out the devs at ED were absolute cry babies. BMS all the way.

Thank you for giving us a proper full-fidelity F-15 cockpit. I understand Falcon 4.0 is an F-16sim so you really didn’t have to, but I love being able to properly use my STECS in a sim aircraft.

How’s the Multicrew integration going? The F-16D F4 and Tornado (and dare I say, F15E) would all be awesome additions to BMS stock. You keep adding more stuff I never thought I’d see in BMS. keep blowing the community away!
multicrew is planned, but last time I asked I-Hawk, it's not started yet, there are more important things first

Downloaded BMS the other day ...going to give DCS a rest for a while and see if I can get my head around this
I am proud to belong to the 90's generation and had played from the one of first f16 sinulator falcon AT from Holobyte, and the falcon 3 and falcon 4. The BMS team keep the nostalgia of that times with paixon and perseverance. Big thank you for the enfort of the team.

I have to say, I realize this is probably the last update until 4.38 but maybe some hotfixes. I have to say there were a couple of shots in there that I got goose bumps.
I spent over $500 on DCS - half of them do not work correctly. Other than the usual bugs, recent Eagle Dynamics vs Razbam fiasco has completely wrecked havoc on DCS playability. Where as for BMS, its almost free (they still recommend to purchase Falcon 4.0 proper), and you get the best experience ever.

Sweet Jesus, I'm so excited! My HOTAS died a few months ago. I've been reluctant to get a new one for some time now, but this release has definitely convinced me to move forward with that ASAP!
I have had the less expensive VKB gladiator for 4 years and the Stecs throttle for 2 years. Not one problem and they feel very good.

Thank you and thank you , I remember going from Tucson az to get this simulation back in 1998 , 2 hr back in /from , it changed my life ,I had so much enjoyment specially with the campaign, even got my privet license pilot but things changed in life and I had to stop and be a business owner to support bills, life , my happy place in my mind has always been on that f16 taking off from the east Korea base and being in there doing my perimeter AA , Im glad this is still a thing

As a 3D artist and jets enjoyer it's AMAZING! BUT here are some points that can be easily improved: The terrain textures can be seen repeated many times all over the ground and mountains. The trees, glasses and shadows in general are excessively dark. Also, I can't see light reflections (not speculars) in materials that are not glass. That's all I can say, again, it's AMAZING.
Can't wait to play it.

First video game I ever played was Falcon 4.0; my Dad got me a flight stick and Falcon 4.0 for my birthday because he would rather have me fly up high than be on the ground shooting people in FPS games. How far it has come since then; amazing work over at BMS.
I really need to get back into BMS, DCS/ED have really left a bad taste in my mouth. Will the Mirage 2000 get a new home in BMS? I miss my baby already.

Amazing release update, downloading soon when its available. Hoping on the next update, the BMS team will update the Terrain, I can see repeated tiles like the old FreeFalcon or Falcon 4 Allied Force. Overall i'm impressed.
