- Come along while I give you a master bedroom tour. We are 90% finished with our bedroom, but in this video, I will share some of the home decor and design ideas that were used. I will also share several of my interior design secrets and tips.
The bed is the focal point of any master bedroom. So, I want to make the bed stand out! When designing, I make conscious decisions about where to spend money, and where to save it! I spent it in my bedding and drapes, but saved it in my furniture! Come take a look.

Do you have a video of you painting the actual night stands or the color chalk paint you used?

Keep the fan. Just paint it. I turn it on low and it make me fall asleep. Feels cool. You have other beautiful things in room to enjoy.
Painting it is a great idea!
Compromise with getting a chandelier with a fan attached.

I keep coming back to study the painted furniture, I just LOVE it! Ours is almost identical (in cherry) and I would love to do this same color and technique. Do you think you could do another painting video on a small project piece using these colors and technique? I think so many of us would appreciate it!

I'm using my time to remodel all bedrooms upstairs. Fresh paint, trim, bedding, drapes, blinds...I'm exhausted at the end of the day, but it sure looks beautiful! I think of you each time I purchase/ hang drapes. They really do make a room! Enjoyed your stunning bedroom tour!

Beautiful bedroom! Your furniture is gorgeous and so neutral with the chalk paint. I’ve been looking for lamps forever and have had no luck! Thanks for the tip about the tacky for picture hanging. I’ve got a wall of botanical pics that move constantly!
You are so welcome! Just be sure not to use too much of the ticky tac. After a year or so, it can remove the paint.

I’m with Scott. I like to cool off with a fan. It’s very hot in Louisiana. Have you thought about a fandelier? It gives you the chandelier look and Scott the function of a fan.
I was going to mention a fandelier too! We’re in the south and a bedroom is just too hot in the summer months to go without a fan, but I’m with Jennifer, sometimes they do look tacky. A fandelier would look great in this room!!
I've been seeing tons of comments about fandeliers! I'm going to look into it!
We live in TN and the summers do get quite warm. I'll be looking into a fandelier!
I love your bedroom. Serene! I love the painted furniture. Ours is very nice hard wood, no veneer nor pressed wood. We bought it as a set several years ago. There is no way my husband would let me paint that. Somethings he doesn't mind, but this is a timeless outfit. I am trying to add a touch of modern to the traditional style. And yes, the ceiling fan with the lights is a big discussion here right now also...LOL.

I absolutely love the chalk painted bedside tables and dresser. I saw what colors you used, but can you explain the process like how many coats of each and if you sanded it and used polyurethane? Love all your videos!
Love you bedroom. I had the same debate with my husband about the fan. I now have a beautiful fandellier. I purchased it from Neiman Marcus a couple of years ago, and we have the best of both worlds. Just a small fact, being menopausal,I enjoy the fan as much as he does. Keep up the good work. I love chalk paint too. We painted our kitchen cabinets a couple of yrs ago and love them.

Im in love with your bedroom. Ours is still a work in progress, even after living here for 2 yrs. Hubby and i cant agree on everything, so nothing gets done. We did agree on the flooring though. The drapes are up too. I chalk painted a FB Marketplace sleigh bed. Still need 2 big comfy chairs for beside the fireplace....and there's this weird little corner...i think I'll be ordering those botanicals..gorgeous!

I am so glad I came across your video today. I think your taste is wonderful. ( I think it is mine to ) Everything you have is so calming and tasteful. I bet you are missing going to your store. This time of all of our lives is weird and we are all going through it together. I am glad your family is fine. Mine is also. I am missing my 93 yr. old Mom. They have had a lock down in the Nursing Home for over 2 weeks. She asks me how long? I say I have no idea. The best thing is they are all well . I am in Iowa.
