      Yes, he's "Jeffy". I put him right along with Tony Robbins. He's the most under-recognized (by his volition) life, self-help etc practitioners of modern times. He's highly specialized.

      He is a PhD. Under recognized. Right along with Tony Robbins, Jack Canfield and other big names. He could if he wanted to. I respect this man. Highly. He's a great grand master hiding in normal garbs. Love it.

      I loved the first couple episodes, but once it got stuck on the family storyline I didn't find it as interesting. They're doing a second season though, I hear.

    I haven’t heard of the alexander technique since seeing this video, and it turns out I discovered it not too long ago and have been using it for a while. It becomes super noticeable after meditation. It stimulates a part of the brain that really helps with getting in the zone and concentration

    What a well-spoken african man. How does one speak intelligently? Does one simply, read more? Jeffy? I am genuinely asking. No one has more "in field" experience as Jeffy in modern times. Even big names such as Tony Robbins, Jack Canfield or Brian Tracy don't have that kind of experience "in the trenches". This man has a greater sense of human psychology, first-hand vs the big names. This man is highly specialized. He's a PhD + honorary multiple degrees from ivy league schools. Highly under-recognized. Jeffy (along with Tyler) were the most influential in changing my "inner" game. I found this shift far outweigh anything else.

    How do you stop feeling stiff, awkward, and putting on a mask socially?

    • @naturalLin
      @naturalLin 10 місяців тому +1

      You need to stop focus on your self in social situations. Focus on the group. When you are stifled, you are making all about you.

      A lot of the new stuff Jeff, Julian, and Owen are putting out has helped me a ton. The main premise of their teachings that’s benefitted me socially is of letting go. If you’re stiff and feel stifled just be stiff and stifled. By trying to get rid of it via technique you actually attach to those behaviors more and by paradox integrate the behaviors more deeply into your programed personality because you give it “energy” by focusing so heavily on it. This isn’t woowoo bullshit either this is neuroscience. The more a neuron fires the more it becomes stronger and faster. The more you try to stuff it down or attach your feelings about the behavior - the more neurological connections you’ve just attached to those behaviors as well. So feel the way you do, but act anyway. not by trying to hide and get rid of it, but to see and let go of it. It’s a subtle difference. It’s much like a clenched fist, and learning how to completely relax that fist. This is why meditation is often recommended, because it’s a safe space to train your concentration and focus. All of our innate dysfunctional behaviors patterns come from unseen traumas which can bubble up and be triggered in certain situations during our day, so it’s important to train your focus to notice these often subtle patterns and learn to let go of them.

      This is to prevent getting paralyzed by anxiety ... To take action 3 seconds before you start rationalizing ... Old school pick up calls this 3 second rule.
      Also, what Jeffy said ... Meditate. Study shows meditation can weaken the connection to the amygdala.

      Begin the process via developing awareness, then start to release it. I outline several strategies near the end of the video.
