It’s called “LifeofBurch” not “BikesofBurch”, so never feel bad about using us as part of your therapy. We just enjoy your videos and we use you for our own therapy just as much as you may use us! Keep being you.

Love the honesty and letting us really see the true “life of Burch”. I’ve been thru divorce before as well as the whole deed fiasco. Congrats on getting approved on the loan. Everything turns around with the right attitude. Continue to stay true to yourself and dropping great content. We all cheering for ya Burch!

I feel ya on the motivation thing. Sorry to hear about the big D, but things will get better!
Also, I totally agree about riding while emotional... it can be a killer situation (literally). I've noticed in dozens of my vlogs that I was rage riding, so I had to scrap the video... completely wrong mood and tone to convey.
I rode up to OKC on my Ryker a couple of years ago in an attempt to see my father after a major heart attack. I ran flat-out on the speed limiter (102+ mph) for 2 hours, blasting the highway shoulders, threading traffic, etc, etc. Long story short... I didn't make it up there in time, so all of that drama was in vain. I cut all of that drama out of the video and I made a strongly-worded mental note to avoid that behavior in the future!
Stay strong, and keep dropping great content! Sharing helps to strengthen your emotional state! Cheers! 👏😉👍 --QM

Thanks Quasi!! Riding/driving like that always feels right in the moment…and then you look back and go, “What the hell was I thinking?!” It’s even worse when you have to watch the video back and really realize how out of line you were 😅 I appreciate the comment!

I've been a follower for a whole and I'm now a patreon member for a few months. I just found this video. I went through a divorce a few years ago. I'm still single, but I have struggled like you. I struggle with motivation. I go to work and that's like all I can do. Once I get out and ride I'm good. Or once I get cleaning I'm good. So same as you, as once you do it, it's all good. Much love man, you're an awesome person and I see your videos now and your much happier. I can tell by your voice.

Hey man, I’ve recently moved to Japan with my wife and kids and getting adapted here is proving quite difficult. After 6 months of unemployment I finally found a position this week and I’ve been spending way too much time watching your videos. I’ve always dreamed of owning a bike someday and that will be my goal over the next year or so. Getting my license and the 1100. It’s given me something to aim for and look forward to that’s mine and not family related. Keep it going.

Bro, it's videos like this that I look forward to the most. Like John Wicks said below, it's LifeofBurch and I can't speak for everyone, but I appreciate that you let us come along on the ride. It isn't easy to be vulnerable and I think there is a stigma that it is hard for a man to vulnerable. We are all on this beautiful planet together and finding our way through life. I would love to be able to do what you do, but have no idea where to begin. I love my Rebel 500 and motorcycling in general. I wish I started sooner. Can't wait to see where life takes you bud!

I’m still waiting to grab my first bike. I’m a single father that just recently went through a divorce. I’m happy but financially not even close.😅 I’m still trying to save up in order to get a rebel 500 abs it’s my dream (well 1100) but 500 would be the most like inspirational thing in my life in a while. Still saving so maybe I’ll be up on 2 wheels within another year or so 🤞🏼! But keep your head up and enjoy life man. That’s all that matters at the end!

It is NEVER easy my friend and I wish you the best...as a divorced man I found cruising a small tour on my motorcycle helped me see perspective. The world doesn't stop and didn't for me, it keeps circling around. I can't and won't comment on your ex or the whys and wherefores ..that is a personal decision between you both. Its rough no matter how you slice it or spin it but just know, we care and wish you happiness.

Some of the worlds best works started as just getting the words out, it doesn't matter whether it makes sense to us or not (even though it did). What matters is that it makes sense to you because we're along for the ride, if any of us find something that helps us and that's just an additional benefit.

Yeah, wind therapy/throttle therapy has been keeping me going this past year or so. My wife and mother, despite their concerns about my safety, have been extremely encouraging of me riding when I can, as they see how much it helps me. I'm thankfully not enduring a divorce, but work and other outside concerns have been HARD. I've had poor experiences with actual therapists, so just getting to ride has been a tremendous help. I wish that I could ride more, but just getting ready takes a freakin' hour, so when I do ride, it's for a good 3 hours or so, and thus only on weekends.
Anyway, good to hear that you're on the mend.

I completely understand what your saying about motivation. I bought a second helmet, a hero9 and a mic so I could start making vids and post them to kickoff my own channel. I was all set to go then the day before I was going to make my first video is when I hit a deer. That night I ordered all the damaged parts from partzilla and almost two months later I’m still waiting on the upper and lower fairing. The upper is back ordered with no estimated date of delivery. I did finally get all the other parts and put them on and managed to Frankenstein the original fairings good enough to ride. But as far as my motivation for making videos, well it’s almost September and I live in Michigan. Yes I could make a few before snow falls but then what? I still have yet to figure out what to do with my channel for the winter months.

Went through my 2nd divorce and it finalized in December of 2019. It is definitely a rough thing to go through, and it often takes a long time to recover in all ways. Emotionally, financially, etc. It does get better as time goes by. The longer it goes at this point the better I feel. I do more things I like, and Im totally happy just focusing on myself. The motorcycles have been great fun for me, including the rebel. The biggest challenge I have these days is just time. Much more hectic than life was, but thats not all bad...

Great content man. You seem pretty young, you'll get thru this. Just ride that bike, and let that little shorty of yours ride your face. You'll forget all about this mess. Cool area you get to ride btw. Really enjoy those roads.

I've been damaged a couple of times because I was upset over something, and I was riding my bike, and thinking about whatever it was, and not paying attention to what was happening with the bike, and then something happened and I ended up making a rapid unintended dismount.

I am going through a really bad time right now. Really close friend of mine broke friendship with me & I loved her and she was ok with it ( she actually kind a liked me ,but she didn't want to get into any relationship not just me with anyone ).Her mom died on February after 4 months of her mother's death we slowly drifted, she stopped taking my calls & now she broke her friendship with me,I will contact her after a week, hope everything goes well.

Just found your channel and subbed - definitely not a problem to voice your problems out as it's better than holding it in. I also live in MD! I definitely understand lacking motivation to do a video - I mainly do airsoft content but been super busy between work and house hunting that I haven't been able to put stuff out. I also wore myself out and never gave myself time to recover and it kinda came back and bit me haha sometimes breaks are definitely needed!

Hey, divorce sucks but the 1st year is the hardest. Your not alone. Most people go through a divorce. At least you are young and did not have kids which seriously increases the difficulty and forces you to have to deal with your X for years to come, so its much harder to move on. On another note, what did you do in real estate and why did you not go back? Isn't RE market going crazy down there? Up here in the NYC area it is insane the last year or so as everyone is moving away from the city because of tele-commute. Prices have exploded and everyone is busy with deals.
