I've been thinking about why they were having 1000 year of life span in starting period while now we have around 60-40 years of life. Then i realised in the beginning earth was no so populated with humans ..but if we get the same life span of our ancestors then imagine the population of earth today ..we could face many worst problem.
Definitely Allah is the most wise most powerful.
There are many wisdoms too, like today you can travel across the world in hours back then it would have took years. Today we go to the store to buy meat, back then you had to go hunt it took time. Today everything is instant, clothes, food even knowledge still we are impatient.

To answer your question about Jibril (AS), he is the head of all angels and he is tasked to reveal the message of Allah (SWT) to all the prophets as well as aid them when need be. Every angel has specific tasks assigned to them. If you look up Omar Suleiman he has a whole series on the angels, and specifically a segment dedicated to Jibril (AS).

Yes Jibreel(Gabriel) is a major part of many of the prophets, since they don't speak directly to Allah, except Moses who directly spoke to Allah, but otherwise Jibreel just sends them messages from Allah.

Allah left the pharaoh the Tyrant of Egypt as a sign of God, yet many still disbelieved.
In Islamic teaching, we know that there are countless numbers of angels that Allah created. But there are 10 of them that highly recommended for us to know. Some of them are direct names for one particular angel, some of them we don't really know whether it's for individual or a group of angels.
1. Jibreel/Gabriel. His duty is conveying revelations to the messengers. Allah elevated his rank to the chief of angels and Allah gave him a special name "Ar-Ruuh", or "the spirit" because he conveyed the Qur'an to Prophet Muhammad SAW. The Prophet SAW used to sit together with Jibreel AS to check his Qur'an memorization from time to time. This direct teaching method are still preserved in Islamic traditions. It is said in a narration from sahih muslim, that no gathering of dhikr (remembering Allah), except that they are surrounded by angels. This also includes knowledge gathering which the name of Allah mentioned inside it.
2. Mikaeel/Mikaal/Michael/Michelle with the duty of distributing provisions to all creature of Allah every day.
3. Israfeel. The trumpet blower. Israfeel is the one who will blow the trumpet marking the end of the world and the next blow is to resurrect all humankind from the beginning to the end of time to face the day of judgement. Fun fact, the word "isra" from israfeel is an ancient word means "servant". While "feel", you will find it in arabic for "elephant", an animal that makes sound like a trumpet.
4. Izraeel/Azrael, the angel of death with the duty to take souls from the creatures of Allah. We don't know is it singular or there are many of them.
5. Raaqib, and
6. Aatid. Both are names for angels that was assigned to take notes of every our deeds. Each one of us have them, one in our right, one in our left.
7. Munkaar, and
8. Nakeer. Both are the graveyard keepers. They will come to us in our grave to ask the 3 questions. Our condition in our graveyard will depends on how successful we answer those questions.
9. Maleek, the gate keeper of jahannam/gehenna. Angels with scary looking appearance.
10. Ridwaan, the paradise gate keeper.
That's from what i know, and Allah knows best.
One of the wives n a Son were amongst the disbelievers from Noah's family but the rest of them were believers n with him in the Arc.
Gabriel is head of the Angels n conveys God's=Allah(in Arabic) instructions to His messengers (prophets) !!

There is another miracle mentioned we can see today. Allah speaks about the body of the pharaoh of Moses and that he will preserve it as evidence for the future people..
So his body won't decay like normal people do.
And you can find the ark information and also the body of pharaoh on UA-cam.
Some people say that God in the Old Testament is an angry and hateful God. Muslims believe God's attributes were and will always be the same. God is Most Merciful and at the same time He is Most Just. Punishment is one aspect of justice and a mercy for the believers. Just imagine had those disbelievers not been punished, how unfair God was to the believers.

As far as i know, yes Jibril was involved with every prophet.
In Arabic, we have more than one name to a “year”. We say “sana” and “aam”. Sana means a hardship year, while aam means prosperous year.
So, in the Quran {And We certainly sent Noah to his people, and he remained among them a thousand years minus fifty years, and the flood seized them while they were wrongdoers} 29:14
The Quran in Arabic mentioned both terms “sana” and “aam” in the same verse. It means that Noah lived 900 years in hardship and 50 years in happiness which was after the flood where all the people were believers of Allah.

17:16 yes jebreel al mowakal bl wahee it means he send the wahee to the prophets, and his wife was not believer she thought nouh was crazy but he told his wife and his son to become believers and get to the ship, in some stories they say nouh ask his son to get to the ship without believeing know that this is not true.
There is an error at the end of the Video, he should have said, that's when Allah sent the next Prophet = Musa (Moses) Peace be Upon him, coming after Noah and the 5 Idols.

There's not a time where A Rasul has sent by Angel Jibril the chief of all angels was sent as a guidance from Allah, because Archangel Gabriel is the Holy Spirit.
But the Christian has took it as a form of Trinity.

The interesting thing is that despite all the atheists laughing at Noah's story, calling it a fairytale. Almost all old civilizations spoke about the great flood, and used it as a major landmark in recording history.....Just like now a days we use Christ as a landmark in human history (X number of years before Christ or after Christ), back in the day, people used the great flood!
