- Last week my nephew borrow my Toyota Hilux and when he engaged the 4x4 from H2 to H4, it is not engaging. Because he forget to shift the transmission to Neutral. The 4x4 indicator keep on blinking.
So today on my way to the farm, I decided to take a short video on how to use it using my iPhone.
This is a short video on the proper procedure on what to do in order to engaged or activate 4x4 feature of Toyota Hilux.
My Gadgets:
iPhone 12 Pro Max
iPad Pro 12.9
Insta360 One R
GoPro Hero 9
GoPro Lens Mod
DJI Air 2S

You can shift H2 to H4 or from H4 to H2 while vehicle is in motion up to 80 kph but you got to have your right foot off the accelerator.
You are Correct. Person who doing this video is not reading manual book.
Yes, the system can be switched from two- to four-wheel drive while on the move, at speeds of up to 62mph. To shift from H4 to L4 mode, your Hilux needs to be stationary.
@@vnyeu so matalino ka kasi alam mo lahat..mag vlog ka rin gamit mo yung 4x2 na multicab.
Merci from Japan. We were stuck because we were trying on « Park »
very useful
Thanks po sa info.
Pwede ka po mag shift to H2 to H4 while rolling 😊 with very low speed
greetings from Florence Italy good evening I have a legitimate question if possible you can give me the correct answer (good morning can you tell me why many owners of 4x4 par time vehicles are called 4wd low in English? wet asphalt when it rains they insert the 4x4 hello the fast 4x4 since many 4x4 vehicles do not have a center differential??)
4x4 high is use usually on wet road or snow road, you are still run can at higher speed. Do not go over 80kph.
4x4 low is use when you want more power send to the wheel like muddy road, sandy road or climbing vehicle in unpaved terrain.
They have center differential
@@geekygramp thanks for the answer I have a Suzuki jimny 4x4 year 2001 with motor m13a petrol 1.3 lt it's a 4x4 part time it doesn't have the central differential!
@lmalesci thanks for the info. I am not familiar with that model.
Dapat ba naka full stop before mag switch sa h4 and l4 sir?
From H4 to L4, dapat naka full stop and neutral
Boss paano kng nakapark Ang shifter tpos nag 4wd,may masisira ba sa transmission?
Hindi yata siya mag engage pag ganyan blinking lang yun ilaw sa dashboard
No need mag full stop shift on fly na mga modern 4x4 ngyn, ibig sabihin khit tumatakbo ka bsta below 80kph pwede mo ishift from H2 to H4.
Kapag sa L4 boss may iooff pa ba like traction control?
no need. just turn the switch, important stop and vehicle and naka neutral
saan po gngamit ung h4 kahit po ba sa expressway pwede un
Sa mga rough road or slippery road pwede mo gamitin. Pero better not sa expressway. Meron speed limit usually ang H4, depends on car. If i am right around 80kph ang maximum.
Shift on fly po yan no need npo mag neutral
Thanks po 😊😊😊😊
Thank You for helping me out
Paano kung ayaw matanggal yong nagbliblink?
Try mo neutral, set the switch and wait sandali before mag Reverse ka or Forward.
Thanks sir kinabahan Ako d na ma shift sa h2 ltd Fortuner nmin LoL baka Magalit si erpats
