Also Drebbel built it in England with the help of Englishmen so is it really a Dutch thing? Whenever I google who invented the submarine I get the Irish bloke in the late 19th century. From my research it seems to be a bit like the Wright brothers - they are the first to achieve sustained flight. Although many inventions came before that could leave the ground, they are the first to do it for a sustained period. From my brief bit of research this appears to be the same with the submarine albeit we have gone from sky to sea (correct me if I'm wrong).

fun fact: technically the first videogame can be argued as Turing's "Game of Draughts", which is what the British call what Americans call checkers. however, the first marketed videogame was Pong (more famously). I think this video is probably referencing MIT's Spacewar as the American first, but who knows. Ahoy has a great video on this.

Inventing the computer? Well the first real computer actually was made in Germany. The Z3 was a German computer designed by Konrad Zuse in 1938, and completed in 1941. It was the world's first working programmable, fully automatic digital computer.

That one mechanical piece that was found at the bottom of the sea might have been from France, Spain, Italy or Turkey or that other country they were in: Greece. Just because no other country wants to claim the history of them doesnt mean that Greece actually did everything or anything at all for that matter.

And computers can be traced back to at least the Antikythera mechanism. A lot of stuff is much older conceptually than people realise.
Aside from that, many, especially the more modern, inventions rely on things from different countries, so attributing them to a single one is misleading.
This type of grenade was already used by the Chinese, it was basicly just a fireball to cause chaos. The idea that the shrepnal did the damage was a British invention and could only have happened after finetuning the recepy of gunpowder. This happened centuries after the Chinese invention of "fire medicine"
