Definitely dont make the day/night time the same as stardew, its so fast, I always feel like im rushing around before night comes and thats not fun in a game that is supposed to be relaxing. Keen to keep up to date with your project, looking good :)
I think one of the things that would make Stardew better is taking out that time curfew. I feel like I'm rushing to get as much as I can done in the day and running back too early to make sure I get back in time.

How about being able to hire musicians as entertainment? Maybe a violinist, pianist or a quartet? Being able to customize the uniforms of the staff is also nice. How about flying drones that can serve food? Or in general just have drones flying around which makes it feel more cyberpunk? Hope you get new ideas from this! I'll be looking forward to whatever you make!!

you made all of the dishes' menu appearances and sprite appearances, I love it! :) The restaurant is gonna be one of the most invested areas of the game and it already looks so cool!
1:30 agreed about watering plants. it blows. I actually DON'T grow plants when i play stardew. I fish and sell the fish and do other things.once you realize no one is making you do that nonsense, the game is way better. BUT the obvious solution to the watering issue for people like us, is to be able to hire npc helpers to do certain tasks for you daily, for a little cash or something. watering is the ONLY bad thing about farming games, and I wish it wasn't forced just for you to have crops.
Yeah I felt the same at my first two seasons, but to be fair, there are easy to make sprinklers to avoid the watering haha. And you can get your spouse water the plants some times, and for free. They'll almost never do it tho hahah xD
Have you thought of having food critics as NPCS? Maybe some where you have to tailor your menu or do something else? Or maybe they can write reviews and you can have restaurant rankings (or some fictional Michelen Star type of thing)

It would be fun to befriend people from the village or city to get new recipes from them. They could share some stories from their lives like "My mum/grandma used to cook this for me when I was a child. Since you are my friend, I would like to give it to you as a token of our friendship"
You combined all the things that I love! Especially cooking games. It'd be nice to have actually cooking gameplay(?) if that makes sense. I love stardew valley and animal crossing type of chill (living a life freely) games. When your game launches, I will definitely buy it! it's everything that I want !!

i love this so much. please create a mini garden to plant and water and harvest even only a little as any cook would do before in the backyard. also create small walking trails in the grassy area thank you

Yes, will definitely have tons of customization in the end. Fountains, statues, machines, and whatever else furniture could be put in. Might even allow customization of the exterior too. Travelling merchant is a cool idea!

If you want a Stardew-like game that doesn't have plant-watering, you could look into Graveyard Keeper. Farming is (obviously) much less important, and also simplified; it's basically a plant-and-forget system. I figure that playing games like the one you're playing will give you a chance to notice minor features that either that game has and your lacks, or that that game lacks but you'd like yours to have-especially quality-of-life features (like being able to more quickly transfer items between inventory/containers by right clicking, which GK has, or some way of skipping the "How many of this item do you want to transfer? All of it?" box, which GK doesn't). It's not individually important, but little QOL features can add up.

I've tried a couple other games similar to Stardew Valley, including Graveyard Keeper (in terms of overall design and feel, I think Stardew valley is miles ahead of any other similar games). A lot of the new pixel art games popping up recently also have some pretty nice features could be integrated into this game as well
you have male and female bodies in this, but what about intersex people? not all intersex people see themselves within the male/female binary. could be beneficial to investigate that.

How about a restaurant where girls serve you topless? Or with a mud fight? Or how about a fight club bar? Or western old school bars saloons? Where you can fight and break beer bottles on someone head or throw them out the window! Or maybe a cowboy stand-off? A game without chaos in it is well bland and boring! Why make some many things yet not use them? Like a picture frame on the wall? Wouldn't it be fun to grab a it and smash it or smash it on someones head? Otherwise your ain't bringing anything new to the table! It be the same old typical game! 7:12 I have also notice that there no animation or movement or jester for the girl in the shop she just stands there all day! Not realistic enough! You got to make it look like she's getting the items that you requesting! And when nobody's there then she should act normal like maybe water the plants or fix the garden around the area of the store clean the windows etc.. and whatever she's doing something when the player approaches the counter then he should wait a few seconds until she's done with a task! Like the player approaches and stands there there no dialog unless you want to have her say "just give me a second i be right with you" or something along those lines, the player is free to move but if he leave the counter area then she just goes back to normal! You can also do this by personality like a lazy person would just sit there watching tv while you select the items you want then they will get up and get the items you selected! Some are slow workers and some are fast! Maybe add more than one shop! Like one up at the mountains where not only they serve faster but can have those special herbs and spices you need!

well you need to water crops for them to grow obviously, so its not "forced" its only natural that you do it or get some sprinklers.
