Original Film: Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol - Розваги
There's nothing but craziness from here on out in this series.
I CANNOT WAIT 🥰
@16:33 I remember sitting in the theater when Ethan walked up to the edge of the window and the black bars at the top and bottom of the screen actually faded away and it became full IMAX. You could see everybody tense up in their seats when the camera went outside and looked down.
Totally. I remember that feeling too on the IMAX. During re-watches, I specifically look for that shot and it is always freshly terrifying.
I love how in this movie basically everything goes wrong every time. It makes it one of the most suspenseful movies I've seen, and truly live up to the name "Mission Impossible."
Did you ever see the series prison break?
Léa Seydoux, the diamond girl that got kicked out the window is such an underrated actress. In huge franchises like Mission Impossible, Dune, and James Bond movies. But she's also worked with the likes of Quentin Tarantino, Wes Anderson, Yorgos Lanthimos, and Ridley Scott. I have yet to see any movie of hers that I haven't liked.
@user-xk8dx1ci9sBlue is the Warmest Color. And while the sex scenes were incredibly hot, also acting was completely on point and tragic.
DEATH by DEFENESTRATION
@@CrazeeAdam Blue is the Warmest Color was a great film because of the fact that the two lead actresses being lesbians was completely irrelevant to the plot. The film would have worked just as well if the central relationship had been a heterosexual one.
Ghost Protocol and Fallout are the best 2 out the series
I have a bit of a soft spot for the fifth movie, so I have trouble ordering them. To me, the third up to the latest are all just excellent and I don't see a point in trying to name a favorite.
@@BattleAngelFan99 That's thing that makes this Franchise so good, is that these films keep getting better and better. MI:3 was the push it needed to get off the ground
Fallout > Rogue Nation > Ghost Protocol > Other MI movies to me
These two are my favorites as well. Closely followed by the 5th movie.
I think 4 and 5 are pretty much equal, 6 is definitely the best, and 7 is damn good too
The actor who played Hanaway, the agent that is shot in the beginning, is Josh Holloway, He's another example of JJ Abrams' casting actors he's worked with before. Josh played one of the main characters in Lost, which Abrams created and produced.
That's right, Sawyer from Lost; part of the infamous love triangle with Kate and Jack. He was also in another spy series, Intelligence, where he played a secret agent with a super micro chip that allows him to connect to various computer systems.
Hopefully Tom Cruise never gets his wish to die making a movie and continues to provide us with entertainment.
He's being protected by Xenu and the ghost of L. Ron Hubbard.
I'm all for an immortal Tom Cruise
@@VKunia Lestat de Lioncourt: Am I joke to You?
I used to think Scientology was nothing but a load of old quackery, but seeing the stuff Tom Cruise gets up to in these films, I'm starting to think there may actually be something to it
I mean. Dead Reckoning pt. 2 is supposed to be the last one I think for MI films. But he may still do other things
Actually Diamonds are commonly used as currency for terrorist organizations around the world. Their small, easy to smuggle, and never go down in value. You can transfer $100K's with something that fits in a pocket.
In case no one's mentioned it...
For the Burj Khalifa scene, Tom really did run around the outside of the building (from the 8th floor, not the 130th. Granted, that's still 80-100 feet in the air, so...)
This is my favorite Mission Impossible movie. It has the most humor, clever ideas and some of the best stunt sequences. It also has an emphasis on teamwork rather than being all about Tom Cruise.
Ghost Protocol, in other words, the point where the Mission Impossible series went from "fine but uneven spy thrillers" to the most consistently top-tier action series of the modern day. The action is absolutely insane and exhilarating while still being nail-bitingly suspenseful, and all the excitement is balanced out by the script's excellent sense of humour - to be expected when Brad Bird is in the director's chair. Also, I appreciate the fact that the whole team dynamic gets more focus in this film, and the actors all have really great chemistry with each other, it's probably my favourite line-up for the IMF team in the series. Ghost Protocol is absolutely amazing, and the crazy thing is that it's only going to get better from here
Tom Cruise never used any stunt doubles in any running scene in the mission impossible movies. Tom Cruise runs so fast!
Brandt left such an impression to where they almost gave him his own movie.
Bourne Legacy?
No, they originally planned that he takes over from Ethan in the next movies.
"What if his pants fall down! And he dies pantsless!" Hahaha
I just love how on youtube you have to use the term "un-alived himself" instead of using the actual English term
Despawn?
Punch their own ticket?
the climbing scenes were crazy in imax
They actually do keep getting even better.
We love you being talkative! Keep it up!
I think this may be my favorite mission impossible, mostly due to the Brad Bird touch.
In fact, diamonds is a clever way to be paid because they leave no trace and you can sell them anywhere against clean legal money!
I still have anxiety from Ethan climbing the building in Dubai too Vicky ..I hate heights so much .
My favorite Mission Impossible. It is absolutely brilliant from start to finish. One thing I really liked about this is that everything goes wrong and Ethan and his team have to improvise and then that plan almost goes wrong, it kept me on the edge of my seat. Tom actually doing the Burj Khalifa stunt for the time this came out was absolutely insane, I remember that being on the news and advertised everywhere
My favorite moments are the escape from prison/"Light the fuse", when Ethan abseils down the Burj Khalifa as the theme plays and when he spots Julia. I was happy that he still makes sure that she is ok, he did the right thing letting her go, it means he truly loved her by staying away.
What's so great about this franchise is these movies keep getting better and better which is a rarity with film franchises coming out today
i forgot hawkey was in this movie and yeah beeing outside the tallest building on earth is insane but not as insane as going to space to do a movie
HUH?????????????????
@@VKunia tom cruise is going to space in a upcoming movie ive been reading about it
You're reacting, you're commentary is perfect. No need to doubt yourself, you're do great V. May the force be with you.
-Sage
I had no idea the mentioned the syndicate at the end of this movie
5 is better than 4, and 6 is better than 5, but the Burj Khalifa scene is the best action sequence in the whole series, perhaps in history.
This movie and the first one are the best ones of the series
I watched this movie in IMAX when it was released. The whole climbing the Burj Khalifa scene in IMAX made me shuffle in my seat "alot".
What makes doing his own stunts even more impressive, is the fact that he is over 60.
I've been to Dubai, and I've worked and lived in Qatar... sandstorms ARE like that (in varying intensities), and there's no way of mitigating something like that with our current technology.
Those subtitles were so bad! I don't think there was a single sentence that actually matched what they said 😂
This might be my favourite MI movie
We are on the break of war!
Agreed...this series really got going with Ghost Protocol.
Awesome your halfway there Vicky.
The "Crazy Guy in the garage is Viggo from John Wick
And the actor died in 2017, only at 56
You know it's a Brad bird movie when they toss in an A113 reference
Welcome to some of the better MI movies. Not that the others were bad, but this one kicked it up a really strong belt notch.
You're supposed to talk, Vkunia. That's why it's called a reaction. 😊😘🌹
I got queasy in my stomach as well when Tom Cruise was doing a Spider-Man on that building! Only it was worse in theaters!
Keep that last scene in your mind for the upcoming films, specifically Ethan's mission as he walks into the fog.
@vkunia I think your videos are truly authentic by demonstrating sincere wholesomeness and joy. I don’t know if you have seen these films already and posted videos of them, but there are 3 movies at the top of my head that I think you can enjoy watching and streaming them on your patreon channel. My favorite movie “Argo”, one of my childhood comedies, “Kangaroo Jack”, and in my opinion the best American film ever made, “12 Angry Men (1957)”. Thank you
The next two, Rogue Nation and Fallout are the best MI movies by far.
You definitely don't talk too much, you're a great reactor. Again, kudos for the short intro.
The villain was the mission...
The mission is always the villain, and given the stakes of this particular mission, the most dangerous villain they have faced. Especially considering the fact that their team was without imf help
ghost protocol is the installment when they really started cookin
Fun fact, the insurance company that the studio uses dropped Tom Cruise as a client because of the stunts in this movie and now he is considered “uninsurable” because he keeps doing insane stunts like this.
Why watch such exciting movies when you close your eyes part of the time? 😁
Great reaction. 👏
Having never done live action until this film BRAD BIRD ROCKED IT.
Btw, they mentioned how Hendricks had served in the swedish special forces, hence how he was able to put up a fight against Ethan.
When people say "I want a real woman with real curves not some skinny model", I think of Paula Patton. She looks AMAZING here - slinky, classy and as you noticed V, jacked. Obviously that's the result of dedication and Hollywood magic as much as natural good fortune, but she's got a physique that is believable in the role.
The franchise really took of when Tom Cruise 1:37 took over as producer, and paying the insurance for the stunts. I swear, his last words are gonna be “but we got the shot, right?”
I was a young kid when there was a Mission: Impossible tv series.
6 years old and LUUUVVVEEEDD it. And I was a little surprised how true to the original the movies were. Except one thing, The IMF (Impossible Mission Force) worked in teams and I always had so much anxious fun as Jim Phelps went through the files and selected his team.
"Remember, if any of you or your team are caught we will disavow your actions.
This tape will self destruct in 5 seconds."
My clearest memory of the series was them doing the "fake hallway" thing so imagine my eyebrows when Ethan and Benji start doing the same thing in this movie.
I really enjoy your commentary review through out the movie amazing job one of my favorite franchise can't wait for the next movie
Bourne trilogy is the very best thriller about this kind in the business
BUT this movies are getting better and better, lets hope the last one and see how good can be
I definitely love watching your mission Impossible reactions, and I also enjoy your commentary. I can't wait to see you react to the rest of them!
Tom always wears a safety wire that is removed in post. He's crazy but he's not stupid.
I first saw MI3 at home on DVD and it was a fun watch. Seeing Ghost Protocol in theaters hooked me in.
YEEEEEEEE TOM CRUISE CONTROL ULTRA SUPER FAST RUNING MAN
Great vid! Please continue the boys
I will say, one of the best things about Mission Impossible is how it's learned to use humor. None of these movies are like Mission Impossible 2... but you get the sense that a lot of the other government workers who aren't part of the IMF (in future movies) have literally only seen Mission Impossible 2. Because THEY all think it's ridiculous. Seriously, there are scenes were the IMF is "in trouble" and "in the principals office" and you half expect them to start complaining about the Doves budget. Like the IMF has a budget just for doves they can put into a box and set by the door, knowing that when the bomb goes off, the doves won't be hurt, but the box will open and the doves will fly out, in front of the open door, right as Tom Cruise walks by menacingly.... Like, "Where did you guys get these doves?" "John brought them." "Who?" "No, Woo. John Woo. He brought the doves. They're his."
So yeah, Tom did actually climb the Burj Khalifa. When he pitched the scene the insurance company threatened to pull the plug because it would be too dangerous.
Tom fired the insurance company.
I like the first 3 MI movies but this film starts the run of the series I think is the best!
Interesting fact! The beautiful architecture in Mumbai was filmed in Jumeirah Zabeel Saray Hotel at Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah Island. I have worked there, very like this place
Got caught in a sandstorm in another country in that region, out in the open. Literally just curled up into a ball, with my face covered and waited it out till it had passed. It was nasty. Made your face sting with the sand hitting your skin.
This is by far the best movie series ever! Tom Cruise is insane and this Dubai stunt!... forever in the history books!
I appreciate you and thank you for making content.
Oh yay ive been waiting for this reaction 🥳
1:00 How dare you speak that way of my boy Sawyer!!
The scene with the building that I believe is Dubai always wracks my nerves honestly
Before you try Dubai, maybe you should try Phoenix. It's a big city in a desert, and summer storms are often fronted with a giant sandstorm ... which only puts sand in your eyes and grit in your teeth, not sand all over the place.
23:00 i compare them to blizzards in Wisconsin. Yeah it happens but its mostly just small ones that don't last very long, with really bad ones coming every once in a while
Scary side-note:
Having just read a pretty recently published book titled "Nuclear War: A Scenario",
I just realized while watching this video that this movie is inaccurate (duh, I mean besides just all the inaccuracies for movie fun purposes lol), specifically in a way that downplays the threat of nuclear war massively.
One of the terrifying things that it's leaving out, is that the US has a policy called "Launch on warning", which basically means that as soon as a launch is detected (and via the SBIRS satelite, STRATCOM knows of it in less than a second, even if it's on the other side of the planet), a procedure is started to get the president's order to react within a few minutes, by emptying the entire arsenal of land-side nukes (a couple hundred of them across the US, all of which are ALWAYS ready and waiting to launch within a minute, and all of which each have the destructive power of thousands of the "merely" atomic bombs dropped in WW2. Thermonuclear bombs use the atomic bombs as just the fuse for the actual bomb). The US will not wait for the actual first hit to happen before responding.
There's also no way to recall or deactivate an ICBM with a nuke once it's launched.
These are just some of the fantasies in the movie that I wish were true in the real world, but unfortunately are not, and public awareness about much of that topic is concerningly nonexistent.
Another more movie-general related side-note:
There has been some news that Denis Villeneuve might be making a movie based on the mentioned book, so we might soon finally get a movie that'll portray the ever-present threat of nuclear war in a more appropriately shocking way.
Mission Impossible is my favorite movie franchises, the movies just keep getting better as we go on
'-and when it's red? -Dead' see, gum.
25:20 That actually was the same man that masked Ethan in the very first film too. If you think that was cool, the mask prop is even the same one that was used when Tom Cruise put it on in the first Mission Impossible movie as well.
The dude who got shot in the beginning is Sawyer from Lost you should definitely do a reaction video for that show
I love this movie, ethan gets saddled with a bunch of noobs and he teaches them how the IMF really works
Rip Mikael Nyqvist
This movie was directed by Brad Bird, he directed the Incredibles
30:35
Yes. Yes they do.
Getting closer to Fallout!! My favorite. This one is really good too though. Love that Simon Pegg's Benji came back. He's amazing. Missing Ving in this one too. Pretty much the only movie in the series with no Luther
Una de las mejores de la saga
Tom es un genio
The upcoming ones are good but this one is my all time favorite.
AWESOME REACTION OF MY FAVORITE MISSION IMPOSSIBLE MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊
can't wait for the next Better Call Saul episode. really excited about it.
Fun Fact
25:23 is the same dude ( one of Max Bodyguard’s) from Mission Impossible 1.
I hope you're not afraid of heights
I am.... and I wanted to SCREAM at that scene... I don't know how they managed to film it 😭😭😭
@@VKunia I know the feeling. When the camera panned down I was the same as Simon Pegg just basically said that's high lol
I don't like action movies in general but this caught my attention. I love this movie.
Fast paced this movie, action end to end...❤...very much a fav film!
Yes, this one was really good, the best so far...Wait till you see the next 2. It does get better each time from this one up.
Awesome and amazing reactions as always
take care and Thanks VKunia.📺😎📺
Thank you 🥰 you too~~
i will not be surprised if that is tom cruise own private jet
The who played marius wistrom is a Finnish actor and singer. it's somehow difficult to watch this movie as a Finn because of that
Same as a Swede watching Michael Nyqvist but for slightly different reasons now.
2nd Favorite in franchise but has my favorite stunt
Yes that is Tom actually doing this
Wait until the movie where he breaks his leg in real life but just walks it off in the movie scene.... Tom Legend Cruise.
The movies are based on the television series from back in the 1960s.
"Light the fuse." Is such a great movie line, but in that moment... why was there a fuse? Did they just blow up that Russian prison?
Always great to see a Vkunia reaction, and as usual, well done and enjoyable. The big plus is she is so beautiful, though this can distract from the film under her scrutiny. I can live with that, though. Love your perspective and insights when seeing for the first time. Keep 'em coming, girl!
Enjoy movies the way you want to enjoy them as you share. That's all that matters.
In fact, Ethan would have been arrested when he presented himself as a Russian general. The accent was very funny.
