    I'm a Browns' fan, but I live in St. Paul, so I got tickets. I remember being stunned by what I saw, and not quite believing it. Fortunately, the Browns clinched the division title the next week. Unfortunately, their high points since then have been few and far between. However, it is one of the great moments in Viking history, and if you're a Viking fan, and you see this, and you don't get lump in your throat and a tear in your eye, then you're somebody I don't want to know.

    • @konstantinov

      You sure about that? My recollection was that this was the last game of the regular season, and that my Lions were in line to win the NFC Central, until this play when Rashad's grab and the Minny victory made them division champs and knocked the Lions out

    • @cka2nd
      @cka2nd 2 роки тому

      @@konstantinov Second to last game of the regular season. I just checked that on Pro Football Reference. The Vikings were 9-6 after this game, the Lions were 8-7, and the Vikes lost and Lions won their respective last games. I'm not sure what the tiebreaker was, but it might have been the combined score of Vikes 41 - Lions 27 in their two games that season: you spanked us 27-7, but we whomped you 34-0. If that was the tiebreaker, then yeah, the win over the Browns got us the playoff spot because there was no way the Lions could have ended the season with a better record; you needed the Vikes to lose both of their last two games.

    All the Cleveland insults. Through 1995, when they were the old Browns, as opposed to the expansion Browns, the Browns had the best franchise winning percentage of any NFL team. Since 1999, they've been by far and away the worst team of course. Point it, the two teams shoudn't be confused. They share a name is all.
