How do you keep topping previous videos! It blows my mind. Loved this one! Especially the beginning and then taking us on a walk away from the set was refreshing. Overcoming myself and keeping up practice momentum is my biggest hurdle. I’m coming up on a year with DBO! I’m definitely way better than I was when I started but it was challenging at times to face the ruts. I appreciate these videos so much because they do help me with motivation when I’m going through tough times. Everything you mentioned in this video is legitimately all stuff I have been focusing on to improve. Get out of my head 😅 🥁 🤟🏼😊
I've been playing drums since 15 years old and I'm 26 now so that's like 11 years of me playing drums. I'm a self taught drummer that I used UA-cam videos like these, drumeo, many more for helpful tips and mini lessons and I took that seriously to heart and incorporate what I've learned from those videos like setting up the drums to basic 4/4 beats to keeping time to paradiddles to some off time signature beats and shuffle grooves from the lessons jeff porcaro gave back in the 80s that's currently on youtube. Sadly the only thing that I fail to do is play to a metronome and I tried that before but couldn't do it because I was trying to focus on the beeps of the metronome but keep getting distracted by the sounds of my drums and that's something I'll have to take in consideration in the future. I'm always improving and playing everyday when I can without pissing off my neighbors lmao.
Lmao 😂 bro you hit the drum 🥁 right on the head. I’m almost in the exact same boat my friend. What I would recommend is getting you a pair of ear muffs like you use for target 🎯 practice and put those over your headphones
This may be a bit off the mark but I've practiced guitar and drums 2 hours each every day for the past 2 weeks and I'm only more excited every night when I can practice. Its both fun but also fulfilling seeing so much progress in such a short time.
Hey Gabe, love your channel. I see you mostly use a kit with one rack Tom and I recently discovered how my playing style drastically changed once I take one of the rack Toms off. I’d love to see a video about your take on one vs. two rack toms. Thanks
I know my drumming journey! I feel difficult to play paraddidle smoothly so, On this summer..... I'm gonna practice paradeddle more and more....... Thanks.... (Gabe)😍...... We always supporting you Thank you!!!!
One more pillar that can be added as part of the group is: Learning and internalizing song form. You want to be able to incorporate the whole enchilada in different music styles.
I’ve been drumming for nearly 2 years. I don’t consider myself good or bad, I know I have a lot of flaws I need to work on but my number 1 goal is to just be able to keep a consistent tempo on double bass
Another very helpful video. An there is more to come if you get on the list to Drum Beats Online. Gabe is an amazing teacher. It's a great class, with tones of people that love to play drums. Make new friends an learn new skills. See you all there.
I hardly ever comment on anybody's videos, but your videos are so high quality for the amount of views so I'm hoping that by liking and commenting I'll help you find success on the algorithm
I'm a fairly advanced drummer who likes to use these tips for my students etc. But honestly Gabe I watch all your videos for the intros at this point haha!
Love this amazing and helpful video!! But I want to know what practice pad and drumsticks do you recommend for drummers between beginners and intermediate level?
@@DrumBeatsOnline awesome sauce really good content. Been following your channel for a few months now. I’m a guitarist who turned drummer in the last one year. Great tips and tricks. Thanks bro and keep those videos coming. I’m a videographer too so I appreciate all the hard work that goes into putting out amazing content. High praise to you and your brother!
Keep up the good work man. Your video's are getting better and better every single time (they have been awesome for quite a long time already tho) Learned some useful stuff today, thank you! 🤘
Hey Gabe I have been playing drums for going on 25 years but one thing that has hindered me is developing a faster speed on the double pedal consistently. So I'm wondering what kind of settings do you use on your pedals? Thanks! Love your videos man
Greetings Gabe, It’s Vladimir from Youmaker, one of the developing video platforms based in the US. We have seen your UA-cam channel and it’s really incredible. We absolutely think that our fans would love your videos. We would like to invite you to join us. Also, it can serve for you as a free back up storage for your videos. Can I send you details?
Yo, that fucking hand with the skillet and the worm right after. Keep being you, man! Also I really hope someone reads this comment before watching and is highly confused.
Great video! Tips like "Split up your daily 20 minutes into ten in the morning and ten at night" will make sure that those of us who don't need motivational video to bang to a metronome for hours, will stay in demand.
