- The Mario Party™ series is coming to the Nintendo Switch™ system with super-charged fun for everyone! The original board game style has been kicked up a notch with deeper strategic elements, like specific Dice Blocks for each character. The game also introduces all-new ways to play, including Joy-Con™ controller enabled minigames, and new modes to enjoy with family and friends. Board game play goes back to the four-player basics as you take turns and race across the board searching for Stars. You can also pair up two Nintendo Switch systems and delight in this dynamic play style, such as in the new Toad’s Rec Room mode. With new modes and new minigames coupled with original board game play, the party starts anywhere, anytime, and with all kinds of players. Super Mario Party is available October 5th!

Kamek was shown in the second Nintendo Treehouse playthrough of this game as a host so he likely will not be playable. But, hey, at least he's here. I don't think Kamek has even been on the Switch yet.

As much as I like the changes in Mario Party 9 and 10, I'm sure everyone can agree that this is a step back in the right direction, taking elements from 2016's Star Rush, expanding on the Joy Con Minigame concept from 1-2 Switch, and of course, the ability to connect to multiple Switch console for an enhance version of the Tabletop Minigames from Wii Party U. Whoever is reading this and agrees with all this, feel free to respond and like.
Donovan Boykins I liked the new Mario Party they just showed I hope some more characters will be added and they will continue to add more content. I’m glad Nintendo listened and now is providing a Mario Party we all want to play. I hope there will be online but I think it’s hard with people rage quitting and stuff will get annoying.

Shh... The less we speak if it the better.
In the last two Mario Parties, All the players had to travel together in a car, meaning that when one person moved, everyone moved.
Personally, I wouldn't mind if the car came back as an extra game mode, but it should never have replaced the standard game play.

I get the joke but to be honest, the car was a little worse. I don’t hate the car (or PGP for that matter) as much as every other Nintendo fan does, but I will say this: at least Pink Gold Peach wasn’t mandatory. I’ll forgive her for that (and for the fact that her shiny design is appealing).

Even after one year, Super Mario Party remains my favorite Switch game.
It could've used some DLC with more boards et al, but having 20 playable characters (including Bowser for the first time as a full player) is fantastic.
As a big Mario Party fan, this game looks promising! It seems like the premise is Mario and friends (Donkey Kong, Boo, Wario, Peach, etc.) vs. Bowser enemies (Dry Bones, Goomba, Shy Guy, etc.). I also saw PomPom from Super Mario 3D Land as a playable character! The character roster will be very interesting!
Also, PLEASE, we NEED online! Mario Party has been waiting for Online for so many years!
If there is an online mode it should only be minigames because people will leave in party mode because of “reasons”
I'm not sure if you remember, but Fortune Street (another board based game) was released for the Nintendo Wii, and it had full board capabilities on Wi-Fi. People did quit from the game, but what Mario Party could do, is just make games with anyone short, quick games. Like 10 turns.
And then with friends, they could make board gameplay as long as you want, because a friend isn't going to quit (at least not a reasonable friend). :P
Honestly for me they didn't need to add anything. As long as the car is gone forever.

The game comes out in October. There can be another trailer in which they introduce online play between now and release.

The board was super liniar thought. I didn't see any brancing paths, it looked like a road from a start to the finish, or an endless loop.
If it goes back to the classic style, there won't be a "jerk" on the game. I think most people like it either way. What really matters is that the damn car is finally gone!
