how are you getting the r and r^2 values? mine only shows the a and b values

You will have to go into the catalog and turn it on. Here is the video that shows you how. ua-cam.com/video/jq4svQPIvsE/v-deo.html

when I searched up a video for the regression line it has the same exact steps as least-squares regression line. Are they always the exact same then because I thought they would be different

The most common is the least-squares regression line. Some people shorten the name because it can be a bit much to say. There are many different forms of regression analysis that can be performed so you just want to be aware of what your instructor is asking for and what you have been taught.

hi, I know this posted a year ago, but I am getting an error message when hit enters to calculate. I did exactly what you did and a double checked I imputed right. Do you know why or how I can fix this issue? Thanks.

The only thing I can think of is to check and make sure that when you go into CALC to find the values for your regression line is to make sure you are referencing the right lists. If you have the right lists for X and Y, then you might want to consider clearing the memory of your calculator. There might be something in another part of your calculator that is causing a problem. Let me know if you are able to get it to work!

Breanne Rathbun thank you for responding. Unfortunately, I have already made sure I had the right lists and cleared the memory with no with no success of resolving the issue. Thank you.
