Eddie saved the game!
I'm sick & tired of hearing negative garbage about Eddie Rosario. The Braves have the best record in the MLB & Eddie is a good part of that. If the Braves didn't have Eddie or Marcel Ozuna, they probably wouldn't be where they are right now. The negativity about those two is uncalled for. I hope Eddie & Marcel are both Atlanta Braves for years to come!
Eddie's one of the biggest reason Braves won their last World Series!!!! Don't see how anybody say negative things about him ? !!!
With Ozuna, you've got to realize his production for the previous seasons did not match his paycheck or even close. Aside from that, his multiple domestic violence incidents don't sit well many people. His being pulled over DUI and telling the cop "Don't you know who I am?" didn't help his case either.
Being completely objective here, I'll say 2 things. This year, Ozuna has absolutely been a factor in the Braves success. And secondly, any fan's dislike of him past or present isn't unfounded.

I'm glad Ozuna is earning his paycheck this season, but I can still criticize him for his past behaviors.
I think he stinks & 1 of Atlanta's weak spots on a so- so team,how is that?
Eddie Rosario is very underrated in Left Field. I know Analytics says he is below average in regards to Defense in LF. But Honestly, How many diving / sliding catches ( as well as catches close to the wall) that he come up with ( especially in clutch moments) this year. He saved the Game for sure with that last catch.
He has more sliding misses tho
his analytics actually arent that bad. He has above average range. He just has a weak arm is the main concern
All I know is he is clutch on offense and defense.

Posted last week that Matt needed to find his groove again. Now thats 4 HR in 4 games. And what more can be said about Acuna? A ball stays up a half second longer and we are talking about a 3 HR night. First place in the NL will be so important for this team to clinch. Not just for the crowd factor. But they have the perfect lineup to hit it all over this field. The 7 games against the Phillies still to come are going to be huge. If the Braves can somehow knock them out of a wild card spot, that would be sweet revenge after last year.

Notes from the Game:
+ Not the Best Night for Max Fried, but one where he PERSEVERED. 6 Innings of 3-Run, 6-Hit Ball, Walking 2 and Striking Out 4 en route to a Win! Fried Improves to 7-1 with an ERA of 2.70. That 2nd Inning was rough, but if he can continue to throw strikes when it matters, we can put this outing behind him EASILY.
+ Though Iglesias did make things Dramatic in the 9th, the Rest of the Bullpen DID it's job. Johnson, Minter, and Iglesias Finished the Final 3 Innings, Allowing 2 Runs on 2 Hits and 2 Walks while Striking Out 4 Additional Cardinals. Johnson's ERA Stands at 4.82, Minter's at 4.02, and Iglesias' ERA Increases to 2.89.
ROTATION TOTAL: 9 Innings, 5 Runs, 8 Hits, 4 Walks, 8 Strike Outs, NO Home Runs Allowed.

Like many I was sad when the news came that Chip Carey was leaving the Braves announce team. However, the common theme of these highlights over the past three games is the clear reminder that Brandon Gaudin is the superior announcer and I do not miss Chip at all. #gobraves

I seen the game like the last game the Braves had to depend on the long ball to win that's great but the pitching has to improve against good teams like the Dodgers especially they got to stay a number 1 seed they don't have it wrapped up yet.
They have scored runs and won games without hitting a HR. and I really hate when ppl say they depend on the HR. No they don't. they just know how to swing a goddamn bat.

Kisner didn't even try to move out of the way of that pitch - he actually leaned into it. The umpire was horrible and has been all year. So inconsistent and MLB won't do a thing about his performance as he is black and they won't touch that.

As a former CF, that was a great game to watch 💯 Soooooo many good catches in the OF, and it was only fitting that the game ended on one💯🍢 Chop On 🍢
