Pokemon Legends: Arceus Nuzlocke Rules:
1. I can only USE one Pokemon per route!
(I can chose it, and all new designs are allowed ONCE as a bonus)
2. I must nickname every Pokemon
3. If a Pokemon dies, it's dead forever
4. If the player character dies, the Nuzlocke ends
5. No Potions in battle

The fact that we have wild pokemon actually attacking us, the trainer, for the first time in the history of the main games is amazing.

It's been happening in the anime for over 20 years, and we just now finally have a game where it happens.
Just adding in the ability for you the player to fear for your life is amazing. I hope this is the start of a pokemon renaissance. I only played pokemon Y, Sword, and Arceus. This is the first time ever the game actually made me want to complete the Pokedex.
Also we need a nuzlocke in the game. A hard mode, just make the pokemon die instead of faint.
yeah, my favorite part of pokemon is also existential dread.
Nintendo won't make a Pokemon die. So there will never be a nuzlock mode
@@renmojito6796 They might, so long as they don’t explicitly say “die.” Maybe if they worded it more along the lines of “If your Pokémon faints in battle, you cannot use that Pokémon ever again.”

Look at your description. Do you feel like they'd ever market a game , to kids, in which their is a penalty disallowing them from ever using their favorite Mon? Now surely you must be thinking "well the kids can just play a more friendlier mode". Now look at recent trends were we are forced to have experience share . Look at how pokemon has been getting easier through generations . Shinies are easier, iv ev nature maxing easier. We've had modes I'm 1 generation and they never brought it back. Heck it wasnt even hard. Now consider it being made by game freak which kind of takes shortcuts . You don't even have to agree with all of these points but they do add up. Surely you can't dismiss them all

Also the boss battles in this game are BRUTAL and I feel like any Nuzlock for them would have to not count whiteouts related to them
True but you still have to do the whole fight aka not being able to continue with whatever progress bar you had before you die. Otherwise I call bullshit.

I keep getting distracted from the missions and end up catching a hundred pokemon by the time I reach the objective

I had a sudden urge to rewatch this and man... I REALLY miss playing this game, I think it's honestly one of my favorite pokemon games
This game is such a masterpiece, it's the best 3d Pokemon game for sure
Love that you're doing a nuzlocke of this! Just praying you don't do the cowards nuzloce like everyone else and instead go through the champion fight in the post-game. Extra 20-30 min of game play but it's the real end to the story, not the half baked fight right before credits.

I actually evolved my second eevee into a leafion to use as chance to heal one of my other pokemon. In most of the major battles leafeon got 2 free calm minds and wiped the opposite team xD. Considering evolving my shiny eevee into a leafeon even if the shiny isn't that great because of all of that xD
I fairly recently stumbled upon these videos and you've genuinely inspired me to do my very first nuzlocke run, and it's gonna be for this game. Legends: Arceus is my favorite game in the series besides G/S/C, so I don't mind, even knowing how brutal it will be.

Moxie, you’re gonna love the second Noble. It is tied for my favorite Pokémon cause this new form is pretty and also extremely strong so I would highly recommend getting its prevolution and evolving it. It has a signature move that makes it an absolute powerhouse, just don’t leave it in against flying types.

Here's the thing - you CAN Nuzlocke this game quite easily... but you have to exploit the HELL out of the Grit system to ensure your pokemon are strong enough to take on 3v1 situations. As you have to allow catching non-party members for sidequests and pokedex level, releasing those mons gives you ALL sorts of Grit items that let you make your mons more OP than Alphas that are 10 levels greater than you

Your team is so cute so far! As someone who also got an Eevee right away, I went with Umbreon. Mostly because everything in this game does nuts damage so I needed a wall.

a fellow Australian trying to pronounce 'mommy' is hilarious in the nicest way possible
so here's a piece of advice, when you are to a certain distance of a pokemon ( quite a generous distance that allows you to launch pokeballs easily ) you can press one of the left buttons to lock on him. so you do not have to bother aiming. that's the first part.
Second part : the aiming is borked if you use it on a pokemon that's moving. yeah of course. it's aiming where the pokemon was, not where it will go. so when a pokemon run away from you, aim at the pokemon using the left button i told you about, and slightly aim your camera upward, just a tidbit. it will always hit in the back, that way, without fail.

I genuinely hope people Nuzlocke smartly with PLA because given the limited amount of Pokemon you're allowed to capture and the star requirements for surveys, you need to actually be strategic with your evolving and levelling. You HAVE to fill out all the research tasks in your pokemon's dex entries if you have any hope of completing the game as well as making it to the post game.
This game was made to be a nightmare for nuzlockes, pokemon can attack you out of battle, they can attack first and the fact you can get erased by the alphas if your not prepared
