Crazy thing is that every time I see people put everything into a volcano shape before mixing I think "why dont they just spread it flat and spread it thin THEN pile it up?" I am so happy to finally see somebody do that in a video, it always makes my mixing SOOO much quicker and easier, GREAT video!!!!!!!!!!
Is making a "tea" the same as creating "Living Soil?" I'm using earthworm castings, kelp meal, alfalfa meal, Natures Living Soil, Recharge and molasses. I made two gallon and distribute to 6 plants rotted in coco coir and perlite. Just started three days ago. Fingers crossed. I make my own RO water.
Most growers make compost tea with worm castings and molasses. Other growers add more organic inputs into theirs teas. It really depends on what you are aiming for. Another thing, most teas are used in organic soil recipes, I personally have not seen many people apply these teas to coco (hydro). But I'd incourage you too look it up for yourself and not just listen to some random dude in the comment section (me). The absolute best advise I can give you is to look up " Build A Soil " in youtube and watch the " 10 x 10 grow series " it is very informative and probably one of the biggest following in the growmie community.
That is the hottest super soil I’ve ever seen. The roots organic alone could take care of the whole veg cycle when transplanted on time.My gif I still can’t believe the amount of dry amendments she added. Also I’m not sure she knows what RO water is
Can i ask a question... I bought this exact receipt ....i live in Spokane Washington... Its about 32 degrees farinhiet in my garage now.. And its going to get as low as 6 degrees in January... Would that super soil cook in my garage that cold...in a plastic container... Should i put a heat mat under it ?.. or would that cook the microbes...it gets to 80 F ...im. Thinking the heat mat isn't enough. ...if i keep mixing to move to soil to bottom.. Would i ruin in the soil? ... Cause its no till ?... Great video Thanks for you time ...
No, not while it cooks. Molasses is a short term living organism. Open to air and other mix, it's garbage within 2 weeks. When you talk about cooking , is it safe to say that the 1month cook would be goood for autoflower and 3mo+ would be good for photos ? or am i not understanding it ?
Sounds like any plant going directly into flowering 1 month cook is enough, whether auto or regular, but if it’s gonna be vegging May-august then flowering then cook 3 months first 🤙🏼
I just counted. There are 1503 super soil recipes on YT. We need a grow contest like too chef to see who’s the champ. I think her mix is a bit hot for my liking. Feather meal sucks IMO. Better nitrogen sources out there
Absolutely. No way that much fertilizer is needed. Simply use the roots organics and top dress with the amendments. 1st watering should be something readily available after that its cruise control..
is RO really essential? I have high THM levels in my tap water. Can I go with a cheap carbon filter instead of full RO? I live in an area where PH is more basic around 7.5-8.5 with decent amount of calcium.
Yes! That’s all you need. With compost tea your feeding the all the micro life that’s in the soil that is there helping the plant uptake nutrients. I recommend you stick with the old time methods like composting and compost tea, you’ll see results better then using chemical products that’s harmful to the living organisms in the soil.
Blood meal breakdowns a lil faster when compared to feather meal, might run into some toxicity. The feather meal, fish bone meal, & kelp meal is beautiful simple, I’ve got most the boxes, I love to mad scientist my super soil.
As others said. Very informative, but your interpretation of RO is misguided, and the amount of amendments added was a little OTT. For sprouts that soil is gonna burn them up real fast
Where’s the plant gonna get magnesium? Or other trace elements. I’d take away that water filter so your plants can get secondary nutrients and trace elements
So from what I’m gathering from the video, the “RO” water is to allow the soil to cook better and not have any trace elements such as chlorine negatively affect the microbes you are trying to achieve however when you are watering your plants I would say regular tap water would be your best bet to give them the necessary micro nutrients because at that point the soil with have enough microbes where the chlorine etc won’t negatively impact the soil as much
I like the video, I find it's so expensive I was wondering if you could sponser me and I would make video's I want to get into UA-cam growing, there ain't enough G's

This isnt a very efficient way of doing this 😂 what a waste of amendments. Probably going to burn the crap out of your plants, and your lungs with no mask on. I've been growing organic for about 4 years now and all I do is top dress after the initial mix. "Cooking" your soil for 1-3 months prior to use isnt really doing much for you btw 🤷♂️ I use my soil and mixed amendments asap and just top dress after 30-40 days and I produce high quality stuff. Do your last top dress at around 4-5 weeks of flower and the plants will flush properly
Those "bags of crap" are natural ingredients my man. they sell anything from bat guano to kelp meal to a list of other natural ingredients that help plant growth.
The point is making a super soil and unless you Got worm castings, fish shit, bat shit, bone meal, kelp meal, activated charcoal, and a shit load of other ingredients on hand then yes you'll have to buy some natural ammendments to make a super soil.

Ya, that`s why she said about a 14 inch plant...seedlings will burn up.
You could always add more soil and worm castings and thin it out a bit so it`s not so hot.
