I’ve just got a Feiyu Pocket 3 a definite improvement Shawn quite impressed so far easy to carry and use, nice and compact early days but now prefer this to my Go Pro as the major problem with the Go Pro 10 is the lack of telephoto
Nice review...the only thing I'd add is that with the latest firmware (1.8.4), the 4K video appears to be cropped to 2.7K and then upscaled - which is why the FOV is about the same as the Osmo Pocket and why the image is so bad. I suspect they are having trouble optimizing the mechanical gimbal, so they are relying on the EIS too much. I agree that they did a nice job with the design, but the firmware has a long way to go.
You might want to think twice on buying from Feiyu Tech. I bought the pocket camera and mine kept freezing up whenever I was in the video settings menu. The camera would not respond and would not shut off, even when the auto shut off came on. The power button did not shut it off either so I had to wait 4 hours for the battery to drain. After recharging, the camera worked but when I went into the video settings mode the menu page froze and I had to wait until the battery drain before I could use it again. This happen 3x so I called up the service people and was told to send it back AT MY OWN EXPENSE. When I did send it back and got confirmation it was delivered by the post office no one from Feiyutech acknowledged that they had it and would only reply when "they got to it". I offered to go to the distribution center and exchange it with a new one but to them that was not an option. Companies like FeiyuTech should think twice about how they treat their customers once they have your money especially when they sell you a defective product. Try the DJI Osmo instead.
Great video! Do you know if Feiyupocket with the updates now works well? Above all, it needed to improve the stabilization smoothness. Regards, and thank you very much!
Excellent review, do you know how the camera performs now nearly a year later have there been firmware updates to fix the issues with it. The price has dropped on it and i'm interested in buying it.
Good review of the new Feiyu Pocket, it seems like it has a lot of nice things going for it. But the gimbal not being that stable and colors being off are real deal killers for now. At least until they get it corrected. There seems to be quite few of these Osmo Pocket clones on the market today. I have the Fimi Palm in for review.
The DJI Pocket is actually a lot better than many people give it credit for. You just need to add a set of neutral density filters so that you can mitigate the light to get a shutter speed that allows for natural motion blur. With the correct level ND filter on, you can capture some near-professional looking video, which is incredible for such a tiny unit. I'm going to assume that the same will be true of anything with a gimbal camera that size. It's just too small for anything but a fixed aperture camera - which means ND filters are the only way to control shutter speed, and proper shutter speed is essential to shooting video.
I’m holding out for OP 2. Wish list by most to least important> h.265 for slight better color grading/post exposure. Extreme bitrate like the Filmic Pro app @120-130 Mbps. Joystick. Electronic z axis improvement. Improved battery. Bottom 1/4 thread. WIDE ANGLE ND’s AVAILABLE. If anyone knows of a current manufacturer of wide angle ND for pocket or any other way to achieve wide angle outdoors at full manual shutter 180 degree. I shoot in 24p so a wide angle adapter with adjustable ND would be ideal.

can you tell if there is a probability that feyutech will update the firmware to use an external microphone like Osmo Pocket and FIMI Palm or will it not be possible to use feiyu Pocket in any way?
I have a problem with this, i've never use it for about 3 years, i mean it was not turned on, and few days ago i've tried to turn it on, but it has no battery left i think, when i connected to the charger it shows me a green light flashing verry fast and it not turned on. Can you tell me what could be the problem ? I mention that i never used and it was always in the box. Thank you !
I've bought a few from feiyy with this problem . They seemed to have sat in storage too long they said. It's a battery issue . I'm trying to find a tutorial on how to remove the battery and replace it .
Air Photography hey.... thanks alot for taking the time to help me. Since asking you this, yes I been looking into gopros cause they seem to really be popular. I'm looking into a hero 7 black but have seen A LOT OF PEOPLE talking about not recording for 4,5,or6 hours straight because it will over heat and shut off. Do you know if this is true or is that just a bad couple of units? TRULY APPRECIATE YOUR HELP
With the most recent problems I have had with feiyutech with my g6 and g6 plus gimbals being bricked because of there own firmware updates I will never buy another feiyutech Product they don't respond to emails sent to them and they want to charge me to repair my gimbals when your own software is what bricked my gimbals so never again will they be getting my money
I think we will stick with go pro 8 for us that video footage of the beach really wasn’t good at all, nice beach though with the colour tones it was very 70’s looking.
Don't rely on firmware updates. I purchased a Summon Plus 3 years ago which was useless from day one and no better after the one and only firmware update. After that, they abandoned the product.
Some companies are good at making major and minor improvements on a regular schedule. DJI is actually one of those companies. Other companies.... not so much.
Hey buddy! I just came across your channel and see your experienced with video... I dont know anybody that is and I truly need help! I'm buying my 1st motorcycle and want a camera JUST IN CASE OF A ACCIDENT, I need something that can run on a external battery for 4-6 hours and record the whole time. It would be a plus if while running on a external battery it could also use a external mic (not a must, but a plus) I heard of loop recording but might be confused. I'd like to throw a 128gb or 256gb sd card in and hit record, then when I run out of memory I'd like it to start recording over the beginning of the card from the oldest part of the video onward. Is there ANY WAY YOU CAN HELP ME. IT WOULD BE EXTREMELY APPRECIATED. Or if any of your subscribers can help!!!! Thanks guys/gals ......... I did subscribe!!!
Any GoPro would work, you can power them off a power bank while you’re recording. Use loop recording and that way all over right older stuff and you’ll never run out of space on a card

Your audio was really low on this video. I had the same settings on my side as all your other videos. BTW Why oh why would I want a Chinese knock off on a really great camera? I already have an OSMO Pocket, so why would I possibly need a substandard knock off? This is the first time I have seen Feiyu make a real mistake.
Thanks for the side-by-side with the Osmo Pocket. Night and day quality difference.

Wow at how close it looks to the osmo pocket

Good review, thank you very much for doing it.
Thank you
thanks for your video so helpful..What if I connect the Powerbank to Feiyu pocket, is it safe?
Awesome video man, was about to buy the feiyu but I guess the stats sometimes are a bit deceiving
Now you should try the xiaomi fimi palm.
I am considering picking one up for comparison
Whc is better: feiyu or osmo
sadly Feiyutech also said that there will be no audio adapter to use with external mic with the Feiyu Pocket... :(
Yeah that would be a dealbreaker for many people
Is it a fixed focus like the GoPro ??
Great video
I think the DJI Osmo pocket is better too.
Another great review!
Thank you
Great video but unfortunately you don't show how you move the gimbal .... osmo pocket is the master in color science
can you tell if there is a probability that feyutech will update the firmware to use an external microphone like Osmo Pocket and FIMI Palm or will it not be possible to use feiyu Pocket in any way?
Somebody has posted a comment that apparently they say no audio adapter will be available
How about its panoramic shooting, does it save raw image files?
How do i transfer my video from Pocket 3 to my PC .... i am a new user sorry ...
osmo pocket all the way

Why would you record for 4 5 or 6 hours🤷🏾♂️ on a GoPro,the battery doesn’t even
last that long
@@djtax73uk93 it can if you run it off a external battery source
The side by side the osmo pocket color is nicer

Er, some volume levelling would be nice. Also, the camera is so jittery you may as well rely on EIS and a smartphone. Not worth the money.
Good review
Thank you
Is it the same company ?
Yes the same company that makes the GoPro gimbals
I think we will stick with go pro 8 for us that video footage of the beach really wasn’t good at all, nice beach though with the colour tones it was very 70’s looking.
Love my GoPro hero 8 never will I ever get anything other than GoPro ! I can't cheat on GoPro that be so rude of me !
Yeah I agree, I don’t understand why companies release products when clearly they are not ready. Do they not test them and get feedback first?
@@AirPhotography Lets hope you got that for free as I would be taking that back if I had to pay for it.

thank you sir

I agree I was honestly expecting better quality. I’m a fan of their GoPro gimbals and always been extremely pleased with them
Please gift it to me 🤗
I really need to stop watching reviews on low quality cameras with a 32" 4k monitor...
Yes you should
I'm just just now realizing 4k monitors are much more expensive than their sticker price when you have to upgrade all your camera gear LOL.
quality looks terrible
Yes I agree
a bit too pricy for such brand from china
