The plot of this animation is really simple I guess. The guy finds an almost dying cactus at his door step. And he has really normal life but misses his dog (presumably dead) very much. He is also taking care of the cactus during his period of loss. And as the cactus grows healthier and blooms he also becomes happier. It's just a simple story that tells you to find happiness in the simplest things which is such a Kyungsoo thing honestly.

I searched and asked many old kyungsoo fans and none of them know the source. the pic they spread of the cactus in the dorm are from chanyeol's old picture post on insta with no connection to kyungsoo. so I guess It's just a rumor that the fandom took it as a fact..
*Incase ur wondering y the mv is based on cactus:* So basically. Like 3 years ago in an interview, Kyungsoo was asked y he likes to grow cactus in his room. Kyungsoo answered saying " I grow 9 cactus plants in my room and each of them r named after my members." I think in the mv he shows that the cactus r always there waiting for him, they dont leave him alone and they always listen to his opinions without complaining and looking at them makes him feel strong for some reason, just like his members. Without his members, he is not complete. They were always there when he needed them and they always listened to his concerns. "We went through a lot together and I love my members so much" Yah So basically in the mv he's showing that his members r important to him. There's a scene when the cactus dies, and then it shows that the guy(kyungsoo) gets sad. But when the cactus comes to life again, he becomes happy. So like he's saying that his members matter alot to him and that he's 'okay' cos of them. He also spends all his time with the cactus in the mv, just like how he spends all his time with his members, together! So basically. Like 3 years ago in an interview, Kyungsoo was asked y he likes to grow cactus in his room. Kyungsoo answered saying " I grow 9 cactus plants in my room and each of them r named after my members." I think in the mv he shows that the cactus r always there waiting for him, they dont leave him alone and they always listen to his opinions without complaining and looking at them makes him feel strong for some reason, just like his members. Without his members, he is not complete. They were always there when he needed them and they always listened to his concerns. "We went through a lot together and I love my members so much"
Yah So basically in the mv he's showing that his members r important to him. There's a scene when the cactus dies, and then it shows that the guy(kyungsoo) gets sad. But when the cactus comes to life again, he becomes happy. So like he's saying that his members matter alot to him and that he's 'okay' cos of them. He also spends all his time with the cactus in the mv, just like how he spends all his time with his members, together! The lyrics also go "sometimes I cry, sometimes smile, together" and "I smile when u smile, I cry when u cry" or smth like that. Idk. I find it so sweet tho. He really shows us thru this mv and lyrics that "We are one". Especially cos D.O wrote the lyrics, it means he really means wt he's singing.

missed you lots sylvia. hope you are feeling okay. this is the downside of the fandom thing in kpop, it brings a lot of anxiety too if you are too active... I am ditching twitter once the forum I ghost on and get regular updates on comes back online. the lyric vids are inadequate but I know you understand Korean so yeah all good! :) I think his album will come when he wants it. Chen and Baekhyun both mentioned that they actually approached SM for an album when they wanted to make one, I know it was the same with Chanyeol and CBX. Taeyeon said they offered the chance to her first but she said no to it until she wanted to do it. I guess going solo and having to perform like rookies again is quite a heavy responsibility in their minds. People also said that Kyungsoo wants to write the songs himself so I guess he'll wait until he has those songs written. Maybe he'll actually make his songs in the army hehe
