So as of December 7th 2020 is it too late for a person becoming eligible for the irst time at age 64 with Part A and Part B to select a Part D and Part G plan? Thank you for this channel. You explain concerns clearly and aren't trying to pressure me into buying something.
No. The AEP that ends December 7th is only for people already on Medicare, not within their IEP. If you are getting Medicare for the first time, the AEP doesn't apply to you. You have 6 months from your Part B effective date to enroll in a Medigap plan without underwriting. You have during your IEP to enroll in a Part D plan without penalty. When does your Part A and Part B start?
@@billman6364 No. Medicare Advantage plans don't have any health questions ever. You can only apply for a Medicare Advantage plan during specific times of the year. If you want a Medicare Advantage plan once you start Medicare, you can sign up for that type of plan during your Initial Enrollment Period. If you miss this IEP for Medicare Advantage, you'll have to wait until the next Annual Election Period to enroll in a Medicare Advantage plan. boomerbenefits.com/new-to-medicare/
@@BoomerBenefits Thank you! My benefits, Part A & B, start January 01 2021. I currently live in the middle of nowhere Utah. I turn 64 in December 2020. I became disabled the middle of 2018 due to major medical issues that aren't going to get better. I have fairly mimimal Rx needs.
