  • Over this summer I have gotten into building NASCAR models.
My dad built several when I was a baby and this was one that he barely started and never finished. He was a big Rusty Wallace fan who wanted to build Rusty's 89 Championship Kodiak Pontiac.
He had bought the #57 Heniz Pontiac kit and got some after market decals and had glued together half of the engine. It then sat in a box for 20 years. This summer it was the first model I got to work on. I had to buy more decals. This was my very first model so it wasnt perfect but I am happy with how it turned out. Herewas my progess and how it turned out!

Nice calls from ESPN. First season I followed NASCAR and the driver I became a fan of won the championship. I remember the calls from those races, too.

Sweet Battallionfan!!! I myself have made a lot of Nascar Models myself, most mainly from the late 80's into the 90's. Mainly the era that you did. The oldest one was a 1983 Harry Gant Buick.
