vanburen20 I just did a long comment explaining what you said in the video so if someone else watches this video and starts type another rude comment they can understand your point of view
Was talking about how the game I got new was still sealed and for vanburen20 to message me and see...I normally go to Gamestop for used games tho so it don't bother me....
GameStop doesn’t allow any discs to be out from behind the register. That’s the only way they can keep theft down. I used to work there and no one played the new games that we had to open to display. They allowed us to play pre owned copy’s and that’s it. We have to display the box so people can look at it and buy it. If we don’t, the game won’t ever sell then because it’s not being displayed. Another thing, that game is a small game. It’s not some big triple A game that GameStop has 100s of copy’s and it’s flying off the shelves. They probably only had that one copy since the game released. You have to stop ranting about GameStop just to rant about them. They’ve done this for years dude..
He just wants use bashing GameStop for views . If he hates GameStop as bad as he says he never go there . I also think he is lying half the time . His local GameStop should know who he is and would go out there way to pamper him for good reviews and mentions . So he is either lying or they just out right hate him for bashing them at this point
They need posters of his face around gamestop warning them of him. Also I work in customer service and this guy reminds me of angry entitled customers we get. Doesnt he get that employees dont make these decisions. We all hate enforcing silly rules but we have to cause its our job.
It's called they can put advertisement cases out for their games like they do months before a game comes out at my GameStop instead of using the actual game's case and leaving it out do be damaged. Then they can keep the sealed copies of the game behind the register or in the back. You don't have to open a new game just so you can put a game on display. Also people don't find out about games through display cases anymore. The majority of us fight out through trailors way before release. Gotta get with the times gamestop.
if my husband got me a new or used game, I wouldn't mind, i would be grateful he went out of his way to get me a game. if getting me a used game ruined my christmas.. i think i have more issues than just that. haha.
While new feels great in value. Used switch games don’t matter much. They’re just cartridges and tons of empty space in the case. Discs are the ones to make sure the game works right away.
Uh, I dont get how this ruined your wife's Christmas when it was your fault for delaying buying her Christmas present. Honestly my best experiences are at game stop, best buy never has the games I want or need. And since I'll never buy a game at Walmart cause they keep em at full price all the time. But still it's your fault You ruined your wife's Christmas stop blaming gamestop for everything ya jerk.
Gamestop does have the games I usually need myself. I've been looking everywhere for Mario Kart Wii because I wanted to play it again and I had lost my original copy years ago and Gamestop had a copy of the game for only 15 bucks. I was so ecstatic about it because no other store had it and Amazon had it for 60 bucks used.
Walmart does not keep games at full price "all the time" they have a used sections- a section for games that are older that have used dizcounts and throught the year they put sales on even AAA titles sometimes.
You sound super entitled. You already know GameStop does this and you're arguing with the employee like one of those customers that no one likes. It's the same game either way. Just be thankful GameStop had it when no where else did. And no they did not ruin anything. Just stop man.
They literally told him that was the final copy they had. I have bought final copies that are like that for display. Because they do need a display case for the games at times. Some give me a discount for that when bought. Maybe he should have asked for that possibly. It sounds like he was more disappointed than his wife. I mean if the game was for his wife (beyond the acting at end) ; why is he complaining why he couldn't "Smell" the new off it if its her game ? I did like the Gamestop employee who decides to comically "seal" the game over this .
how did he not know gamestop does the open game thing? everyone knows it at that point. I know it, and I haven't set foot in a gamestop like a decade. (cause I buy all my games for cheaper prices off amazon >_
Great videos and i...And I am a fan and all, but this felt a bit clickbaitish. I think this is a bit excessive. Trust me I am snobby about my games too, but saying "it ruined her Xmas" seems a bit excessive. I am not being a troll I am just saying this vid felt a bit desperate, and not your usual positive vids
From what I’ve heard from GameStop employees, with some switch games that are less popular, (like Troll and I) they only get one copy. So then they have to open the game and keep the cartridge in a disc sleeve so they can put out the display box. (It’s also if they only have one copy left of a big game like Zelda and Mario)
@MooseT How so? I know the rant wasn't 100% serious but he acted like unwrapping a game is a right and not a privilege. When gaming goes digital only, you lose that privilege (along with others, like lending a game to a friend, or resell it when you complete it). Also, he was so concerned with smelling and unwrapping the game, but it wasn't even his game. I mean, I get it. Once you reach a certain number of subscribers on UA-cam you feel obligated to upload something everyday, even when you don't have a good idea of what to upload, and I felt like that's all this video was.
As someone who worked for gamestop for a month then quit because of the bullshit, I would tell people “Yes, we have that in stock. Its this much.” Then, I’d drop my voice to a whisper and tell them that they could go to one of the other small local game places, my preference being a mom and pop shop about 15 min from the store. This shop has all their new games locked in a case with used display cases outside and all their games and accessories come with a “if anything happens, bring it back and if we can’t fix it on the spot, you’ll get a full refund.”
Dude, you are a great UA-camr and all, and I agree completely with this whole situation, but your anger has gone a little too far at this point. I get UA-cam is a platform to express and do whatever you like, but man, I don't want negativity to consume you dude. This is just me looking out for you on a personal note. Do not take this to heart because I would say this to anyone, but look into what content you put on your channel. It's not because you made another GameStop video, it's because you crossed the line with your anger. I hope you understand.
@@Croy4306 I know right, only "non snowflakes" bitch and bitch and bitch and bitch about petty meaningless issues that have absolutely no bearing on anything in the grand scheme of things. Typical self centered millennial comment
Am I the only one who doesn’t actually care if my game is used/opened I’m fine with it... that is only because in New Zealand, they don’t keep the plastic on the games, and they take the plastic of at eb games, the warehouse, jb hifi, everywhere unfortunately... so, i found it so weird when I go on holidays and the games are covered in plastic xD I didn’t realise that they are supports to be plastic coated :/
The point is not everyone wants used all the time some people want there games brand new in the seal and also the point he is making is that the guy shouldn't have lied to him saying he had a brand new copy of the game in when he didn't it was a used copy with a new sticker slapped on it with a full retail price
Best buy- security cases Target- security cases, glass cases Meijer-glass cases Wallmart-glass cases Costco-cardboard representation Toys r us rip-glass cases Gamestop- guts your game seriosly people come on, its very simple
No. Used means it was used. If it was never put into a console, it's not used. Not "pre-owned" either if no one ever owned it. Sorry, I don't have a hard on for plastic.
EVERY TIME I have bought a "new" game they grab the disc or cartridge out of their stupid file cabinet. It's been like that for years, even back with the playstation and xbox and gameboy. Its lame and I like opening that plastic too, and I know that exact smell you are talking about and it is the best, cause it gives you that instant knowledge that it's new direct from the company
Nah bro it has not always been that way for years back during the DS era game stop actually sold you brand new sealed copy's of games it's called they changed everything now nobody gets new sealed games anymore that's why pre ordering games with them is pointless now because you aren't gonna get it brand new you are getting it used
Most companies offer a discount for display units, so I'm surprised that Gamestop doesn't feel the need to do so as well. Just ask them if they would accept an open copy game as new, they will tell you that the game is used once opened.
This happened to me buying Lego Harry Potter for Switch for someone. They only had one copy and made sure I was ok with it before selling. After they put the cartridge in the case, they put it in a sealed plastic bag so it could be returned by the recipient as new if needed.
They do offer an 10 percent discount on an opened new games at my local Gamestop. Only got used games (except the time I got an new pack of 3DS stylus (long story))
Every GameStop manager is able to do a "opened or shopworn" discount of 20% for opened "new" games. That means that these display copies of the new games can be had for $48. Good managers will apply the discount automatically, while bad managers will need to be asked for the discount. Never pay full price for opened new games at GameStop again just ask for the discount.
Totally agree with you and that's how it should be. I don't understand how someone can honestly think it is okay for them to do something like that. They are taking advantage of the customer because the game is really not new. They shouldn't have a problem of discounting one game especially if it is the last one.
This is one of the few times I agree with him. His explanation is annoying and overboard. If I opened a video game, they'd considered it used. They would not accept it as new, even if I never played it. Plus the price sticker and the sealed sticker ruins the case with gross glue. It is just annoying. Why don't they have display copies like other stores.
Shady just happened to me recently I just went and picked up a strange Brigade I asked them if they had a brand new copy and he opened up a box for the strange Brigade and pulled out the raw disc out of a sleeve and he put it into the box I was pissed
This may sound pathetic from a non gamer point of view, but I agree, the satisfaction of peeling off the plastic, and knowing that my clean fingers touched, not some dorito eating snobs fingers, why can't GameStop just put plastic wrapped games on shelves
Walmart sells them behind a locked glass display that an employee has to open with a key which is effective because the sound of shattering glass can be heard from all the way across a store. I know this because I work at HomeGoods and glass breaks pretty often in HomeGoods and it's always very loud. If someone breaks the glass to steal a game at Walmart, they're going to get caught. Target uses a key locked glass display case as well. The only things I preorder are collector's editions. Got the Collector's Edition for Xenoverse 2 and FighterZ.
Gamestop tried that bullshit with me a few years back, and I returned their used game and got my money back. Needless to say, that was the last time I purchased anything from Gamestop
100% Agree; The fact that they broke the seal means this is now an "Open Box" product. Manufacturers intend seals are intended to be broken by only the end customer --- how would you know otherwise that they have not added or removed material, or consumed any one-time codes included in that specific unit?. Contact the manufacturer to report if their authorized resellers are committing misconduct. Brand new means that no use or modification has been made since the manufacturer shipped it. There's absolutely no reason to break the seal other than you intend to use before sale or your store falsely re-sells exchanged or pre-owned products claiming them as new. If you've stuck your cartridges in a bag in a filing cabinet, then how could you possibly know which of those are unused and which of those are returns, exchanges, or cartridges that some employee with or without permission has taken out for review and played???? Manufacturer security seals exist for a reason, to verify legitimacy of the product; if they are not in place, then the product is to be assumed a counterfeit.
I honestly agree with your frustration here. I have had a few times where I went to purchase a new game from Gamestop (EB Games in Canada) and they ended up selling me the gutted version. The reason why this is an unfair business practice is if you open a game and sell it back to them (even if it's unplayed), you'd be lucky to walk out of the store with half of your money. If a game is opened, it is no longer brand new, plain and simple. There is no way that Gamestop can prove to you that the game you are purchasing is brand new if the seal is broken. It's not just a matter of cosmetic appeal, it's the actual principle of buying something new. Stores like Best Buy can't just open an item and tell the customer that when the packaging is opened, the item is still brand new.
BigRiggs1121 Until you pay off a car you don’t own it. Besides, it’s so much more convenient. Faster load times, My Nintendo Gold coins every game you purchase, you don’t have to leave your house to get a game, you never lose a game since it’s always in your Switch, you don’t have to swap games to play a new one, and physical games these days pretty much just download the whole game. IMO it’s definitive
Yeah man, This is one of the things I hate most about GameStop. Just sell me the "new" game in the shrink wrap and let me decide whether I want to open it or not.
@@vanburen20. That's the sad part... you entered the door where your worst nightmare was waiting for you and knew you would return someday and there you go... into a huge trap xD But it was because of your love for your wife that made you brave and you got what you needed ^-^ Well indeed it's scary for anyone to enter. Funny sorry because I have never been in one and there is no gamestop where I live xD
It matters if you are a collector or have issues with the game. Return policy states you cannot return an open game. So you get fucked if the game has an issue or defective.
Most of these negative comments are just people playing on the internet for the holidays and taking it out on other people because their holiday gift was getting left for a guy with a bigger cpu in their pc. 👍👍 Winners!
That's messed up because they should give you a brand new copy of the game not a preowned copy of the game that they think it's new, but it is not! I usually get new games at a store, not gamestop sometimes, so I'm glad that you made a video of this issue with gamestop screwing you over and taking advantage of you, that's not how companies or anyone shouldn't do that and take care!
A friend of mine from high school works at a gamestop around here. Really helpful guy, asked if there was a new copy of megaman 11, he said no but the gamestop in boiling springs (5 min away) does, sure enough i went in and there was a truly new copy sealed on display. Edit: every gamestop does things differently, the ones here in south carolina around my university will always sell you a sealed copy of a game unless you specifically asked for used
It happens to my with Velocity for the Ps Vita when I preordered and I pick up at launch day it supposed to be with a bunch of extras they handed me a open copy ,when ask him why was open? He said that’s the only copy at the store and they need the case for display because it was the only copy they have
The game stop by where I live always has the new games wrapped up. They're not out on display, but they're wrapped up and have a cardboard cutout of the cover saying to talk to the cashier. Only pre owned games are the ones that are out and they go to their filing cabinet and pull it out of a paper sleeve.
Like this so he sees this! Bro. Gamestop sounds like your ex that you are still mad over the break up. I know you got noticed from a Gamestop video, but just stop. I honestly like your content, don't me wrong, but please shut up about Gamestop. I'm over this Gamestop content. I understand it gets views, but please stop.
I was at Gamestop a few days ago and purchased a sealed copy of Pokemon Ultra Moon. Didn't realize it was sealed till I got home but my copy of Ultra Sun I got was used and yeah the cartridge was in a draw behind the counter
this happened 2 me with link awakening the guy put a circular sticker between the door of the game I was so mad he charged me $59.99 and I bought it because I wanted it soo bad and they were the only store that had it in my area so I sucked it up and got it I was not happy but I needed the game
Guy did the same to WWE 2k Battle Grounds for PS4. Didn't mind it because A still works (if it works I don't even mind) and B in addition to the 5 dollar coupon every month I did saved 11 bucks plus has a code for Edge pre order pack (11 bucks and a pre order pack that I didn't have to pre order? That s fine by me)
This happened to me a few years ago when I went into GameStop for a game. I watch him put the disc in the case, then put a sticker on the case and ring me up as a "New" game. I straight up said no and walked out of the store.
"There's only one left." As a GameStop employee, I can tell you that means it's a gutted game. A case was opened so it could be displayed, but the game itself was not played. That should've been your clue, also with what people were saying before that you've had this experience before.
WHY ARE YOU TYPING SOMETHING IN ALL CAPS, AND WHY ARE YOU SAYING SOMETHING THAT IS CLEARLY ESTABLISHED IN THE VIDEO MIGHT I ALSO MENTION THE LACK OF PUNCTUATION
It's his fault for not getting it earlier when he had a choice. It's called buying it online earlier dumbass. You can't be ignorant then blame a store for their policies. Also typing in all caps makes you look so stupid. Merry Christmas 😂
Everything you said is exactly how I feel, that's why whenever I go in I ask if they have a SEALED copy of whatever I'm looking for and if not I refuse to buy it! I've told several employees verbatim what you said. Once the plastic wrap is removed, it's USED whether it's been played or not!
Did you know if you buy a new game from GameStop and take off the plastic then you can no longer return it? So GameStop shouldn’t sell you something that is new but looks used if they won’t do the same for the customer I just use amazon and best buy now I’m with you all the way
The only reason most GameStop stores dont have plastic seal on the games is because they keep it behind the counter in a drawer, so if someone steals the games on the shelf they dont actually steal the game they steal the case
@the one and only truth ... No they DONT have to do it. They can do what other stores with liquor/wine or high-value products on display do. Controlled exits (guarded by positioning of the checkout counter) Surveillance cameras and RFID tags. Locked cases for particularly high-value titles. Or put one unit on display with a tether and keep the rest in a secure area. Loss prevention absolutely does not require or justify opening and taking out any of the products or breaking any manufacturer authenticity and security seals.
I hate whenever GameStop has that NEW sticker on the actual box, and not the seal. Another reason besides the reasons you mentioned, why I don't like buying used games is because you never know if it doesn't work properly or at all. Then when you want a refund, there's nothing you can do about it.
They tried to sell my sister a copy of Mario Odyssey with the same thing, he said it was the last one and it was new never played. She told the guy she wanted Super Smash Bros instead.
I used to be a huge Gamestop fan, because my old "home store" USED to take care of me. But the manager left, and eventually Gamestop went all corporate and s**t, so now I avoid it as much as possible.
Just to make some things clear, Gamestop was the only place I could find this game on a last minute notice. My wife just told me the other day she wanted this game so I had no time to order this online. If you want to buy this game online and avoid the same mistake I made you can buy the game here: amzn.to/2RdtAop
I would do a digital purchase and get some nice print made of the game material -- some nice color print on cardstock in a way that can be folded into a custom box and a sheet with the redemption code to go in the box.
You aren't paying for plastic. Period. You apparently don't have a mom and pops shop around you that sells games because this practice is common. You're too entitled my guy
@@tagerchops No. A reputable licensed retailer will absolutely not break factory seals and then try to sell as a new product. New = "The game is factory sealed and not changed by the seller in any way." If the seal has been broken, then its an Open Box/Non-new product whether used or never used or not.
I also noticed this, they took the best part about buying a brand new game. People literally make videos about opening brand new products because it’s so pleasing.
This is a personal problem, but I understand why it’s open it has to be shown to the public for purchase but that doesn’t bother me at all it just makes sense not like the employees want to do it it’s just the corporate heads of gamestop
Love this video man! I called GameStop today asking for a new Red Dead 2 and asked if they had it new with the plastic...they said it was new but no plastic....I hung up!
Yeah cause GameStop doesn’t like selling new games. Their dying business makes money by selling used games only. It’s too bad. They used to be a great store to buy.
@@Fallacetw that's not remotely true. Do you honestly think they buy games for $60 from manufacturers and sell them for $60 plus tax? They make large profit margins on new games, like every place that sells new games. When I worked at Toys R Us we paid around $35/ea for new release games when we got a single case. We probably could've got them even cheaper but the manufacturers and production companies like to limit quantities to create a false sense of exclusivity(which leads to many pissed off customers). Maybe they're not making the same margins as a game they buy back for $10 and sell for $40 but they certainly aren't making no money selling new games.
Merry Christmas! Im sorry that that happened to your wife! Im sad that you dont have good gamestop expieriences. Mine have always been fine! And again MERRY CHRISTMAS, VANBUREN! (Btw that is NOT how they should bee doing stuff at gamestop! They usually have wrap on it!)
*YES THIS HAS ABSOLUTELY HAPPENED TO ME!!!!!!* I was looking to purchase a copy of Sniper Elite 4 and the same song and dance of your story is exactly like mine! This is so crazy. Same argument and same reaction. The only two differences with your story and mine is your clerk "sealed" the game (I died of laughter at this point of your story) and you had no choice whether to leave the game in the store or not because you needed to have a gift in time for Christmas, unfortunately. However, I literally told my GameStop clerk, "I don't want this game anymore" and that him selling me an open copy for a brand new price was "ridiculous". This happened to me around September 30th this year and I thought I was the only person in the world that this happened to. It's even more crazy to believe that some people (my close friends included) think this is okay for them to do! Especially Gamestop themselves!!!!
They did the same shit to me for destiny 2 a few months after it came out they put the little circle thing and I asked what's up with that and he looked at me in the eyes and said i had the display case and that that was the last new copy they had yet I bought a 4 or 5 year old pokemon game for ds and they still had sealed copies selling for new
Ah so you don’t know how Gamestop works and yell at them for your ignorance. This is literally company policy. This was most likely their only copy of the game, and in order for people to know that copy exists, they HAVE to take the game out of the case and separate it. Technically this is not a used game. It’s just out of the wrapping. I guarantee you it is not used at all because it’s new. It’s just without the plastic. Does the plastic being gone anger you this badly? Does that really matter? I normally like your rants but this one seemed like there was too much emotional yelling.
I had the same thing happen to me. A friend of mine wanted Breath of the Wild for the Wii U and the only "new" copy they had was the display. He didn't complain though the new copy was $35 while the used copy was $40... not sure why that was...

I mean, I get it. Once you reach a certain number of subscribers on UA-cam you feel obligated to upload something everyday, even when you don't have a good idea of what to upload, and I felt like that's all this video was.
You need to find other options. GameStop is not the only place in the world that has these titles Im sure even if it is a GameStop "exclusive"
walmarts and targets everywhere.......in my area
As someone who worked for gamestop for a month then quit because of the bullshit, I would tell people “Yes, we have that in stock. Its this much.” Then, I’d drop my voice to a whisper and tell them that they could go to one of the other small local game places, my preference being a mom and pop shop about 15 min from the store. This shop has all their new games locked in a case with used display cases outside and all their games and accessories come with a “if anything happens, bring it back and if we can’t fix it on the spot, you’ll get a full refund.”
Nah. Saw an few new games at Wal-Mart

Yeah. Stupid husband would have a stupid wife that would think something that dumb.

No, I buy many used games.
Same in straya
Some of my games I got as used
The point is not everyone wants used all the time some people want there games brand new in the seal and also the point he is making is that the guy shouldn't have lied to him saying he had a brand new copy of the game in when he didn't it was a used copy with a new sticker slapped on it with a full retail price

No. Used means it was used. If it was never put into a console, it's not used. Not "pre-owned" either if no one ever owned it. Sorry, I don't have a hard on for plastic.
@@mr.awesome6682 You definitely seem to have a hard on for trolling people on UA-cam.. Why not plastic?
I do? You get that from only one comment? Those were just facts. You're about as bright as this video's creator.
Every time I get a new game they take the display copy and bring out a SEALED copy of the game, I’ve never had any problems with my GameStop

Nah bro it has not always been that way for years back during the DS era game stop actually sold you brand new sealed copy's of games it's called they changed everything now nobody gets new sealed games anymore that's why pre ordering games with them is pointless now because you aren't gonna get it brand new you are getting it used
I don’t think that when you remove to plastic wrap it becomes a used game. I think it becomes a used game when the game has been played

Its not a used game, its a display copy.
Most companies offer a discount for display units, so I'm surprised that Gamestop doesn't feel the need to do so as well. Just ask them if they would accept an open copy game as new, they will tell you that the game is used once opened.
I have never had a problem like that. I have always gotten the used price on the last display model.
If it's on display then it's not for sale
This happened to me buying Lego Harry Potter for Switch for someone. They only had one copy and made sure I was ok with it before selling. After they put the cartridge in the case, they put it in a sealed plastic bag so it could be returned by the recipient as new if needed.
They do offer an 10 percent discount on an opened new games at my local Gamestop. Only got used games (except the time I got an new pack of 3DS stylus (long story))
This video left sticky gooey mess all over my eyeballs. Your wife only wanted this game? Your wife wants a new husband
Are you stupid? Or r just you a GameStop lover?
Every GameStop manager is able to do a "opened or shopworn" discount of 20% for opened "new" games. That means that these display copies of the new games can be had for $48. Good managers will apply the discount automatically, while bad managers will need to be asked for the discount. Never pay full price for opened new games at GameStop again just ask for the discount.
Totally agree with you and that's how it should be. I don't understand how someone can honestly think it is okay for them to do something like that. They are taking advantage of the customer because the game is really not new. They shouldn't have a problem of discounting one game especially if it is the last one.
Congrats you got a freaking shelf model, that's what happens when it's the only one left. I can't even take this dude seriously.
Does it make a difference if it has the plastic or not???
This is one of the few times I agree with him. His explanation is annoying and overboard. If I opened a video game, they'd considered it used. They would not accept it as new, even if I never played it. Plus the price sticker and the sealed sticker ruins the case with gross glue. It is just annoying. Why don't they have display copies like other stores.
Yes!
I have had this happen, but I was lucky enough to be on really good terms with the manager there and her marked it down to being a used copy.
Shady just happened to me recently I just went and picked up a strange Brigade I asked them if they had a brand new copy and he opened up a box for the strange Brigade and pulled out the raw disc out of a sleeve and he put it into the box I was pissed
GameStop got roasted at the end HARD
Edit I didn’t know it was a skit but still It was funny
This happened to me when I bought the sega classics switch game and he grabbed the display case and put the cart in it.
This may sound pathetic from a non gamer point of view, but I agree, the satisfaction of peeling off the plastic, and knowing that my clean fingers touched, not some dorito eating snobs fingers, why can't GameStop just put plastic wrapped games on shelves
Theft, simply put.
It’s bad for the environment. But I do like the plastic to
Walmart sells them behind a locked glass display that an employee has to open with a key which is effective because the sound of shattering glass can be heard from all the way across a store.
Some people don't read descriptions
Same thing happened to me when I bought 2k for Xbox a couple years ago... we demanded a refund and bought it at Walmart instead
Yes, considering their return policy is 30 days on an unopened game, how is that going to even be possible?
Why do people like you exist
There’s stuff like categories to help with that
Thanks so much for this comment, this is my exacts feelings about it
I honestly agree with your frustration here.
Just download it digital. Problem solved
Wanted a physical copy
BigRiggs1121 Until you pay off a car you don’t own it. Besides, it’s so much more convenient. Faster load times, My Nintendo Gold coins every game you purchase, you don’t have to leave your house to get a game, you never lose a game since it’s always in your Switch, you don’t have to swap games to play a new one, and physical games these days pretty much just download the whole game. IMO it’s definitive

It matters if you are a collector or have issues with the game. Return policy states you cannot return an open game. So you get fucked if the game has an issue or defective.
Check the cartridge, look at the pins. Do they look scratched or used in an way? If yes, it's used. If no, it's new (open or closed)

That's messed up because they should give you a brand new copy of the game not a preowned copy of the game that they think it's new, but it is not! if there are no save files on that game than its not used its new just because they remove the plastic wrap doesnt make it a used game 😆

So GameStop shouldn’t sell you something that is new but looks used if they won’t do the same for the customer
I just use amazon and best buy now
I’m with you all the way
The only reason most GameStop stores dont have plastic seal on the games is because they keep it behind the counter in a drawer, so if someone steals the games on the shelf they dont actually steal the game they steal the case
Its Christmas over here in Australia! Merry Christmas!
They sell physical copies of games that they don’t also sell digital copies of, on the Nintendo store, accessible 25/hr a day, 8 days a week?
Gamestops have to do that due to people who steal gamea off the shelfs i kind of understand
They dont need to do that
vanburen20 You are 100% right. Gamestop needs to rot in hell.
I hate whenever GameStop has that NEW sticker on the actual box, and not the seal. Another reason besides the reasons you mentioned, why I don't like buying used games is because you never know if it doesn't work properly or at all. Then when you want a refund, there's nothing you can do about it.
Shouldn't wait to the last minute to do shopping as long as it works who cares.try to look at the positive an be more thankful dude
