I just bought my first hand toss glider. I fly and build RC airplanes but these gliders look fun! It's a DLG I think they're called. I've got to assemble it. I'm not sure how to hook the receiver up since there's no motor? I don't know if an ESC is needed. It comes with a smaller battery just to run servos. I bought a Dream Flight Libelle. It sure looks like fun! What's your favorite Glider and do you like the powered Gliders? It's all new to me and I'm excited to learn! Edit: I watched your video. Isn't that slope gliding? I see you like the motorized gliders. Cool flying hill!
I have a fleet of these things...P-51, P-40, BF-109 and a Spitfire. They are lots of fun and...as long as you stay away from trees, very capable for tight spaces.
I got the f4u from banggood wich in my opinion has terrible shipping but the plane was totally worth it I got it two years ago and love it. It has handled a crash to a chain link fence tons and tons of trees and hundreds of crashes. The neat part is the propeller pops off when it is messed with almost like a seat buckle. If your in the market I would recommend the Eachine Mini F4U EPP 400mm but I wish there was a different option to order bcs it took a while to order
For anyone to consider buying one of the warbirds, yes, they are great, but only if you have good landings. Their landing gear is horrible, but not even the gear itself but the foam that you put it in will pop out and break ALOT.
I modded the Corsair to be an FPV plane. Might make a tutorial on it but basically you buy a camera/vtx combo and mount it in the cockpit, then you have to power it with another battery. The plane still flies fast and is very maneuverable but slightly heavier and now has an FPV system on board
Mini warbirds are epic fun. Just make sure you can get spare props for ww2 styles and gearbox. I started with 3 channel power glider and then went to XK P40
I have converted many of these to the E-Flite UMX Ultra micro-electronics and 3s lipo. They become little screamers. Fun to pylon race with friends with a UMX brushless setup.
I put the eflite aero scout motor and electronics in one of the t28s I had laying around and that thing was so heavy I never thought it would actually fly but once it was in the air it flew like a dream! I put a GPS on it and it was 103mph or something insane like that.
Pro gamer tip with these planes they actually will link with any remote as long it’s the same brand so u don’t gotta worry about like 20 different controllers
That f22 airframe can easily take up to 17 grams of battery. Considering it comes with a 6gram battery this is one hell of an improvement for fly time.
I just got a F-16 VOLANTEXRC toy grade today and it sucked 1 of the plane's wings was not formed correctly so it gone to the left 0/10 would not recommend.
Live r/cs. Raced 1/10 stadium truck for a few years. Had 1/8 monster trucks. When I got into flying I started with helicopters which was fun but too intense and when I found planes I loved it.
Any time you "buy" an airplane essentially complete, it's a toy grade. If you didn't build it (scratch, plans, or a kit), you are just a consumer, not a modeler.
I have one of these. The volentex tv p-51 it’s an absolute dream to fly and I’m a beginner. However, since it’s light it’s not very easy to fly in high winds. But that might just be because I am a beginner and don’t know much about the hobby.
Hello jay I just wanted to say that the transmitters are toy grade but the planes are 400mm hobby grade. They can be bound up to the radiomaster tx16s transmitter and now they are full hobby grade! Your friend Marty from Canada 🇨🇦🛩🛩
I think i commented a while back, that I wouldn't recommend them to beginners. I own a XK p40 now and they are a ton of fun especially with a satelite and a normal transmitter (Multiprotocoll should work too) I still wouldn't recomed them to beginners cause i think some floaty 3 channel plane is better to learn but for someone who has some experience they are so much fun in acro mode. But what speaks for beginners is that they are really tuff and very light so it won't hurt if you hit yourself with it.
THANK YOU JAY I've been waiting for a good recommendation for a $100 starter rc plane. ( I'm not trying to spend 500 on something I'm going to crash first try)
Judging by the price of those planes I've seen on Amazon the first clip in the short of all of them just sitting on the ground has to be a couple of thousands of dollars if not more than 2,000 to 3,000
Hey, I crashed too. Back in the day I spent a month and a half gluing a freaking balsa with playing together and monocoting it just to fly it for 15 seconds😂
Post surgery.... , BAHAAAHAHAHA LOL I have the 1.5m P-51D love it. And the Apprentice STS with radar and GPS, it literally can take off ,loiter , and land on it's own. It's the greatest training plane ever.
Man I had estes from walmart, yellowbees from harbor freight and mini helicopters from the truckstop. It says in the instructions not to fly in the wind. But after you learn how you know why they say that.
That was a better landing than I have ever done 😅,she has skills.
I've always loved this hobby. I've been flying rc gliders for 20 years

There's no link in description, where do I find these exact models?
Yeah
I flew the F4U Corsair in my driveway and it flew great! Other than the medium crosswind which plunged it into the ground it flew slow and awesome.
I agree where can we get one ?
What are the called
Btw, the company is called rage RC.
I own the spitfire, and it is a great option for begginers, and big open fields.
You are a life saver thank you

What glue do you use to repair them? I use Welders glue. :))
I love rc planes lol
Jay, are these under 250 grams?
These are some very good planes
Flying is lots of fun. Not sure if I like the really small airplanes like these but I get why they are popular.
I love the toy grades
Those beginner places are much harder to fly than hobby grade planes
Literally you can let go of the controller and the gyro will handle it all for you

Ive been using stuff like this for awhile and im not great but should i stay with this or upgrade to the 1220mm ranger
I have that T-28. Only problem is that it’s wedged 25 feet in a tree… It’s also at my cottage, about 200km from where I am… not very ideal.
You did exactly what i was dreaming about: flying a rc plane while snowing
BUILD SOME BALSA AND GLOW. FOAMIES ARE GREAT BUT BALSA IS BETTER.
