Diego vs Messi in a fight? only one winner, and that's Diego, tough little bastard, and he also was a far better Captain than Messi, as he brought the best out of players he played with. To Me Maradona is what happens when you cross the skill of Messi, with the game IQ of Zidane, and the Captain ability of someone like Gerrard or a Roy Keane,a more recent example would be Kompany for Man City, but all 3 of these players made everyone around them play better, but none of them had Messi/Diego levels of Skill, Zidane did, and for me is up there with Maradona as a result, because he also had that leadership quality, although Messi does not have that same ability to lead. Diego was something else, and is ahead of Zidane for me because he won stuff with inferior teams, than Zidane, and also had the break, which make his achievements that little bit more special IMO
