In the words of the legendary Tobias Gibson "you can get a run of good luck with RRs and sometimes runs of bad luck". After a run of 4 pieces of scrap iron from Heinnies in a row I decided Heinnies can find someone else to send their garbage RRs to. There's plenty of other brands that are much more consistent for a similar price, regular medium SAKs are around the same price in the UK and I've never had a garbage Marbles.
Victorinox has legendary consistency. RR is inconsistent, but I’ve had better luck than you. I thought that Marbles was made in the same factory, but I’m not sure.
@@FreedomFox1 I'm pretty sure you're correct, same factory never had a bad Marbles. Maybe the Tobias Gibson quote could be used here as well or maybe they put more effort into the Marbles though don't know why.
Slippy wow thats awesome looking tool I love rough rider knives cost is cheap unlike likes of case or jack wolf fit and finish is good obliged for sharing 👍🦊🐾🍻
I hope mine ends up having as nice of F&F as this one. Darn near perect. RRs continiue to me a tremendous value. Hats off to them for this one. Thanks for the review, Slippy.
Great looking knife SS. I finally bit the bullet and purchased my first Rough Ryder...well, actually two but who's tracking it 😂 thanks to watching your reviews and some of the other UA-camrs. Everyone seems to have a good opinion and with the prices and variety of selection you can have some real fun collecting some of the series. I'm looking forward to checking them out. Great review as always 👍 thanks for keeping me broke,..I mean informed 😅 ttyl.
Pretty neat series from RR's. The Firefox line ehm Arctic Fox. Not sure wether it's G10 or micarta, i can't really tell. It's fit and finish are really super. Thank you for showing Matt.
Hi SS: That is one beautiful Stockman, which is my favorite pattern by far. Very elegant and the fox inlay is the perfect shield. Thank goodness there’s no BIG R…..that would have ruined it. The Sheepsfoot blade is interestingly elongated. Almost a Wharncliffe. 👍👍
The O in Fox does look like some other (F*f*x) logo. Yeah, I can see the vague ridges on the white scales.White scales aren't really my preference, but the black liners present a nice contrast. Thanks Slippy!
Happy Monday Slippy, I think the handles are a white Micarta combo rather than G10, either way that is a nice well made & finished RR Stockman & at a bargain price as all made in China knifes should be & not like the exorbitantly priced Made in China Jack Wolf pretentious knives. Rough Ryder are a bit inconsistent in their spelling of their name on their knives, a rule of thumb is if it has Rough Rider written on the box it is an older design or it maybe a new addition to an older series even if it is a recently made knife and Rough Ryder indicates it is of a much newer series or design (at least that is my understanding). Satin finish looks way better than the mirror polish, the mirror polish on rr knives reminds me of the nickel plated taiwanese alloy junk knives from the early 90s
What about the wharncliffs bowling pin arctic fox ? You prob have a vid . My knife tastes can range depending on what I m doing . Soemtimes it’s a cold steel 4 max , sometimes it’s a Queen wharncliffe or Barlowe . I have one really cool slip joint made in Italy . I ll send a pic on Instagram and maybe you or one of the guys knows something about it .
Another RR beauty. Thanks for sharing Matt!
Glad you enjoyed it
Very nice.
Thank you! Cheers!
I like this one even more than the black and red one. Very nice!
Thanks brother 😁
Another great review.
Really like this and the Red Fox series 😎
Can’t fault that f & f, excellent.
Thanks for sharing Slippy 👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed it

I've been really fortunate with my RRs think maybe only one or two dodgy ones, thanks for watching

Fingers crossed for you TK, I was amazed by the F&F of this one, hard to fault for a sub £20/$20 knife! thanks John

Thank you! Cheers!
Very nice RR, the quality and fit and finish is immaculate! Thanks for sharing and Cheers!
Thanks for watching!
Hey Matt I like mine but one thing my Spey blade didn’t come with a half stop lol thanks buddy be well 😊
Very strange Pete, maybe one slipped through
@@SlipjointSawyer yeah it’s ok it still works without the half stop as cheap as it was what could i expect stay well and be careful out there 🙂
Looks like great fit n finish on that one! Really nice addition. I like the satin finish too.
Near perfect F&F, thanks Randy

really nice knife and box too wonder what other rr come with same type boxes
All of the Arctic fix series have these boxes
Really like this version and I personally don't mind g10 or micarta.atb paddy 👍🍀
You and me both! Thanks for watching Stephen 🫡
Nice looking knife
Thanks Jeff!

Thanks for watching Steve, this is a deal you can't beat.
I have seen the Rough Ryder use different steel...Which one would you recommend. Could you compare the cutting ability with opinel knives?
T10 is my favourite steel from Rough Ryder, their 440b is good too! 440a and the opinel steel is pretty similar
@@SlipjointSawyer, Thank you 😉
The sheepsfoot on that stockman almost looks more like a wharncliffe. Just shaped a little differently from what I would expect.
Yeah it definitely looks like a Wharncliffe
That’s a nice stockman though 👍
Sure is
