Thanks for introducing my hometown, the new futuristic commercial hub of Asia. My projection is greater KL metro area will be a US$400bn economy with 10-11 mil people by 2030.
Fairmont development has stalled since 2017. Probably due to partnership dispute. M 101 also stalled. It targetted buyers from china and since china has stopped remittance overseas, the project most probably will not continue. Tradewinds square tower A will never get off the ground as ots muddle east partner has walked out.their JV terms are ridiculous. Investors put in 100% but get 50% .
Soon, by 2030, Kuala Lumpur Skyline will be Similar to that of Dubai, With 4 Megatall Buildings, Tens of Supertall Buildings, and Hundreds of Skyscrapers, by 2040, The Kuala Lumpur will Have its First 1km Skyscraper, and by 2050, Kuala Lumpur Skyline will Include 4 or 5 1km Tall Skyscrapers, 30+ Megatall Buildings, 100+ Supertall Skyscrapers, and 600-1000+ Skyscrapers.
I'm local Malaysian KL resident, I'm excited but, also very anxious how KL will be in few years time. Would it truly become a 10+ mil multi-cultural people Asian city that's prosperous, clean and highly developed?
That ferris wheel on a mall high up in the sky is really a tall order imo but deff gonna b the talk of the town (heck the world) if it's happening! Bcuz u know the world saw the biggest, many firsts of those ferris wheels but not the highest (on a mall) yet!😙 If that ferris wheel is materialized others gonna want 2 beat that ferris wheels records like the highest ferris wheels, the highest ferris wheels on a mall etc.😅
Malaysia is not rich country yet. You only seen this like luxury modern city but the rest of Malaysia states have not developed modern city like in KL.
I don't know what good is reading facts like this or being "good on paper" when the focus should be the well being of the people who might never use these buildings in their lifetime. Plus, a lot of these projects are obsolete for example Singapore Kuala Lumpur High Speed Rail and the ever scandalous 1MDB. Malaysia is great but corruption built these mega phallic vanity eye sores.
Earth needs no saving. Its humans who require it. Fallacy to think we actually matter to the planet when we have been here like for a fraction of a fraction of its history.
We have too many emptied building offices in Kuala Lumpur. I have no idea why people are still trying to build more buildings. Kuala Lumpur is too crammed up already. Wish they develop other states as well, especially in Borneo.
Not to mention those built in Genting area......why dont they do something about Hyatt Hotel , Forest City and Pudu Tower building which was abandon for many year now....speechless

I worry for Malaysia. Anyone can put up a tall building. What about maintenance? Knowing Malaysia, the building painting is one item that would not be done properly. And what about the lifts. After 30 years, who will maintain the lifts? I'm not so sure.

Not only in south east Asia, but Asia. Compare Shanghai with KL the top five highest.
What is "Sdn. Bhd." & how to pronounce it?
1. Sdn. Bhd. = Sendirian Berhad = Limited Trade = Ltd. Trd.
2. Pronounce = Cern-Dee-Ree-Yan Burr-Hard
pte ltd private limited in bahasa Melayu sdn bhd sendirian berhad
That's the best way to pronounce it. 😊
Tahniah Malaysia bertambah maju.🎉
