such such a cool project and so many great upgrade's! the frond needs that dent out if you ask me to gat that hood/ grill and everything nice and alligned. Again great progress!
Hi John, came across on your video with your Dad, hauling the bus, thank you for bring forward and thorough with your craft. You inspired to get going with all of my stepfather Peugeots. Tk again and keep what you are passion about. Take care and be safe.
Heat up the panel from the back with a torch then use a port a power to push out the dented area it should come forward. Hit the areas of stress to let the metal come forward then hammer and dolly and done
I wanted to say how much we all appreciate all your efforts with these videos. they are absolute top notch and I'm so glad I found your channel brother! I'm hooked!!!
Amazing bus. You could make the back of that lift up like a hatch back car. With a ramp inside so a car can drive in. Like a mobile garage slash workshop cool hang out place, car show room at shows!
Nice trunk work. I'm glad I'm not the only one to make lists......... thank you good Sir. I hate when beauty rings pop off!!!! Love to see your 1000sp on the Green Hell.
when i seen the new stock light........im ols school truck drive here is a link od lights on top of semi truck cab...these are newer but they have all and lot made of glass ill send some licks for you look at
We had a big limb dent the roof on Edna just above the windshield. Unfortunately no one wants to do dent removal on rusty metal. So we did the best we could straightening it out but it's far from perfect
John, John, John… please find a local guy who can pull that dent out of the front fascia. It’s a black eye on another fantastic build. Patina happens naturally but dents happen from human error. Fix the dent and, of course, leave the great patina.
My beetle hood has fitment issues like this, and i dont want to swap hoods since the patina matches, and i copied your hood belt setup but i dont have cool laser etching on mine!
Yes it was, that’s why I’m hot rodding this one that was too rough to be a feasible restoration candidate. The other one was good enough to be restored, and should!
get some paint on the damn thing.... Come live here for half a year and see what no protection does to a car in our neck of the woods... Those are vintage bodypanels for crying out loud. It doesn't need a 20,000 dollar paint job.... But something ....
Nooo! I’ve got a full bare metal rusty AMC over here in the U.K and if you keep on top of it it’s perfectly fine! This is coming from someone who restored classic cars for a living to a high standard!

The leather straps are always an epic touch! Such a GOOOOD build and it’s only going to get better!

I came here to say something similar. Either use a portapower or something to tug the passenger fender over a bit.

This stuff is so satisfying! I love this stuff! Keep up the good work.
Nice one, John. I'm trying to make it to rollcall. Fingers crossed.
Car is coming along great little by little. Love the wheels along with the straps giving the nod to it's racing linage.
Amazing bus.

The engine is in the back
19:21 that hood gap makes the car look happy
Love all your project cars! I want one for myself, if I could find one. Love your videos can't wait to see the finished result.
Nice trunk work. I'm glad I'm not the only one to make lists......... thank you good Sir. I hate when beauty rings pop off!!!! Love to see your 1000sp on the Green Hell.
coming together very nicely !
Please eventually fix the dent on the front 😢 .... The patina tells her story but, i think she deserves the dent repair
Pretty sure he has plans to so the grill will fit
10-4. The Dent needs repaired.
I like that Billy Idol sneer this thing has with that bent grille opening.
Get Well Soon Brother!
love the content man. I live here in Chattanooga as well.
Great work on it all John! I like the clear markers, have some on my squareback, it looks good on a light colored car! Dont forget the amber bulbs!
At 21min, with the grill fitted, as well as being bent, and the paper behind the windscreen, it looks like something from the cartoon Cars
She got character 4 real !
I think you could get that dent out with those weld-on pins that you attach to a dent puller. The trim could be bent back if you annealed it first.

Taking shape now sir . Loving this car 👍
I remember the DEK from 60+ years ago but not the AUTO UNION...sad that it did not get more attention and better care TY for sharing
You can always porta power that sent out a bit more to get the hood to fit better
sub'd ... I love the energy and passion you have for the process.
The progress on this is nuts.
bet you're glad to be back here in Chatt!
12:35 - being worried about your new brackets being sharp despite the haggard rusty shards around the edge :)

I always think the clear lens/markers look 1000 times better

Great episode!
Pretty sweet dude! Love the L in the steaps!!
This is amazing. I'd stopped watching almost all car videos, and then this popped up. Geez.
That bus is so cool i keep telling my parents about it 😂
Coming together nicely! Kind of bummed you didn’t work out that dent in the front more than you did.
I like his gnarly facial expression, with that damaged front
Great car.
Patina is one thing, big dents are another. I’d try to get the majority of the dents out.
Turn the buckles wrong side up and wrong direction. When's it's latched, it will fold over itself and hide the hardware.
This is too cool. I heard of auto union but I didn’t know there were a few models. This needed to happen. What on earth happened to personality?
don't get caught up being a baller on the details before its a runner. Sick stuff either way. 😎🤙🌺
I personal messaged you on facebook an edit of the bus , its worth the look!
Aidan must’ve ate his hat when he saw those clear markers 😂
That car is sick !! i would heat that dent n try to bang it out a lil but leave it as it is a piece of its history & character ! 😃👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
how about using a porta power on that front dent from behind?
That’s so dope
My beetle hood has fitment issues like this, and i dont want to swap hoods since the patina matches, and i copied your hood belt setup but i dont have cool laser etching on mine!
I say it again and again and again - it's freakin' cool to lower an ole' Auto Union from the ole' world colonies...😂❤👍👍👍
Someone needs to scan those super rare parts so they can be 3D printed so they don't become extinct.
I know it!
Itsa beaut Clark!
Really bothered from the the dent on the front and the hood alignment. The rest of the car looking awesome, straps fitted perfectly!
Desde Panamá 🇵🇦 Me pareces que debes restaurar el Cromo y darle un toque de pintar antik
It looks to me that the second unions car's body was in better shape than the one you're working on, am I wrong?
Yes it was, that’s why I’m hot rodding this one that was too rough to be a feasible restoration candidate. The other one was good enough to be restored, and should!
dude you can find cool shit to add to car if want just some ideals for ya dude and nice work dude!!!!!!!!!!
It's in my state I'll hold it lol
Controversial opinion, the Amber's looked better.... Progress is mega tho 👌🏻
That was a dead on Herbie moment when that headlight trim ring popped
I couldn’t believe it 😂😂😂
Christine!
hahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahahah LMFAO on that ring came offf.....
U

I don't like the belt idea sorry.
Loving the rest of the project

How about noooooooooo. He lives where he lives and does what he wants
the Leo DiCaprio of cars
People that slap shit paint jobs over weathered/original paint should go to jail.

@@rambler1964 You know I am right. Paint the damn thing.
Going to have to start painting those rides
All trends come ton an end

“Going to have to” 😂😂😂😂
