I am a licensed massage therapist in San Diego. I had women try to wrongly accuse me because and luckily her story never added up at all. She kept saying more stuff on it and didn’t make any sense at all. My story was very detailed and consistent. The company called my previous work places and they never had any issues with me before. It was the worst experience in my life. I was scared, crying with fear, couldn’t sleep for a week during the investigation. And luckily there no evidence against me. She fabricated a story because she wanted a free massage. She was evil! I am a single father of one boy. And I would never go that far with a client. After that. I had women that tried to get fresh with me and I had to report it. Because I am not like that. That man definitely is giving us male therapist a bad name!

You can injure people if done wrong. You're adding pressure to sensitive parts of the body. For one small example, someone might not know that adding pressure directly to the spine can injure it for older folks or those with physical issues; whereas in a actual massage they don't touch your spine even once, only the muscles besides it.
Failure of the city to regulate business permits and to make sure only licensed professionals are able to practice the profession.
