We desperately need to bring back shaming people and not allowing everyone to have a platform to voice their opinion because Jeff Teague was so loud and wrong here that it’s ridiculous. Mike was such an incredible overall performer and entertainer that I honestly feel his vocal ability is *underrated* lowkey. The man was literally a child making *adults* sing about love lol. And despite how much Weeknd might try to, Mike’s sound could NEVER be replicated. That shit that Drake does could be done by anyone.
Fr that's what makes Drakes singing so appealing, it sounds good but it's like shower singing. MJ did some shit that can't be replicated

I think most importantly to note is thaat drake is not a proficient songer in any degree of raw singing capacity; you'll find singing along to a drake song is far easier than singing along fairly well to the song of a proficient singer for most of their catalogue, drake knows his vocal limits and utilizes his voice well for what he can do but there are tracks where drake sings poorly if going by standard of baseline for proficiency in singing whereby theres not a single Michael jackson song ever where it can seriously be stated that he is not singing well, not to mention mj's range and various singing styles and vocal delivery cadences he showed throughout his career; that statement was made by someone with a limited knowledge of music and limited knowledge of genre's like r and b and pop because in alot of cases drake is not really singing, very rarely do you ever hear drake really trying to fully pertrude vocals so the comparison to begin with falls apart because drake doesnt truly sing 95% of the time and on the raretys when he does kind of passably sing youll notice he doesnt get creative with it or try and deliver too many drawnnout vocals because he knows he doesn't have the singing ability to do that well where as michael jackson has done so in various styles and to various degrees througout his career so in a nutshell this isn't even a debate because drake has never even attempted the things michael jackson has shown and proven
Because he's not a true singer and he doesn't need to be he's a different type of artists to begin with; but yeah i think people need to have more respect for music in general and study a bit before putting out such definitive statements.
