I remember my dad taking me to an oilers game in Memphis and at Vanderbilt stadium never thought 20 some odd years later I would be a season ticket holder taking my daughter and wife to games
Oilers have played in Houston from 1960-96, they never played in the Conference Championship game again after the blown call in 1979-80 game cost the Oilers the touchdown.
The clips from 0:01 - 0:21 was the 1:00 PM ET game at the Patriots on September 20th, 1998. My mom and dad were at the game. I wasn't born yet. We're not Titans fans. We're Pats fans.
At 13:44 I was at that game. 50 yard line 15 rows back behind the Ravens.. The 2 things i remember most about that game besides the win and interception is how annoying these 4 Ravens fans that were sitting behind me that flew in from Baltimore for the game were being and Tony Siragusa with his ass facing the crowd with those white pants you can see through. Nobody needed to see that. Lol. RIP Goose. RIP Steve Air McNair..At Alcorn, Steve could throw a football from endzone to endzone
Could have remained the Tennessee Oilers had Jed Clampett bought the team. Pit-i-ful that they became the Titans (stole that name from the Jets formerly the NY Titans).
That’s what y’all get for not building them a new stadium when they asked. Titans are the Oilers now. Can’t wait too see Henry in an Oilers jersey next season hopefully against the Texans
I made it as a kid to that last Tennessee Oiler game in ‘98 - thanks for the upload
You are welcome!
Those Oilers uniforms were great
I wish Houston or Titans would wear them as retro gear.

I got straight chills for that send-off feature for the Oilers at 17:00 an important pro football franchise for the better part of 38 years.
Love old school NFL films

Horrible.
This team should still exist as the Houston Oilers.
