- Have you ever fished through a storm to catch bass? I did just that in today's video. I put the IMA Lures Bluegill Jerkbait to work on some spring bass. I'm glad I didn't leave because the action was fun while the storm rolled through. I got wet but it was worth it to catch fish. I hope you all enjoy and thanks for watching feeshin friends!

Then also being kind enough to viewers by answering tons of questions and comments is most commendable to say the least. That is one of the best reasons I watch your videos. Definitely!!!!!! Sometimes I get somewhat disgusted after he’d do an unboxing or an review of his arsenal, and with all he does for us work and money-wise, and then somebody rudely asks him for a combo or lures! Like he’s the Santa of fishing.
Weekly videos are tough. I'm consisting upping to twice a week, but I don't know how long I'd be able to maintain it. Tuesdays at 2pm has treated me well.

@@DEBOSFishing I just saw that!!!!! The main goal is to catch a fish in 100 different bodies of water in my county. My wife and kids thought something was wrong when I started running around the house screaming like a mad man when I saw you subbed! I hope you get some enjoyment out of them.

Great day IN the water. One of my best days ever was on Lake St Clair in a pouring rain. The only thing working harder than us reeling in fish was the bilge pump. Glad to see you whacking them Debo.

Nice! It's a lot of fun. A shorter rod helps a ton from the bank. Reel doesn't make a ton of difference...usually a 7 speed for me. Fluorocarbon like to keep the jerkbait down.

That was a good fishin’ day! Never used a jerk bait in all the years I’ve been fishing. You’ve convinced me to pick up a few. Place I usually fish is an old quarry. Plenty of steep drop offs to try. Enjoyed the vid👍👍👍

Just discovered IMA due to mystery Tackle box. I’m amazed and had to see what else they had. Great video and I’m definitely getting more. The IMA 70 instantly became one of my favorites.

Isn't fishing in the rain the best time to fish? Supposedly, it sends the fish into a feeding frenzy. Question: Why, every time you use a "buegil" lure, it looks more like a yellow perch than a bluegill?
I've heard it as BEFORE the rain, but some of my best fishing had can in the middle of thunderstorms!
I've heard it can turn the bite on or completely shut it off. Usually pre-front is some of the best fishing.

Awesome! Love fishing in the rain (without a rain jacket), but what kind of knot where you using on the jerkbait? I have had problems with the split ring cutting the knot after a while..
It was a fun rain fishing session! I was using the trilene knot if I remember correctly. I retied frequently!

we just had a huge storm in pa. it was like someone was throwing buckets full of water on me. had to run back to my truck and put my windows up. if it wasnt for my windows i would have stayed to fish.

My brother in law and I was crappie fishing in a heavy rain and the fish was biting left and right , it was hard to see because of the rain falling down from our head and into our eyes , he was getting drench, so we drove to Walmart to get him a rain coat , by the time we got back the rain had stop and so did the bites 😭

Debo, what are your water temps at in Iowa right now? I usually only throw the Jerkbait in the early spring and late fall when water temps are cold. You like to throw it in the summer too? Just curious about your approach to jerkbait fishing. Great video
The vid was a couple weeks old. It was around 60 degrees. I like it when the fish push out after a cold front. Or if I'm trying to stay right over fresh grass like that. The floating type is great early summer keeping it right on top of growing grass.
Takes some commitment to stay out in the rain. Glad it paid off with some nice jerk action!

@@joshuaduzan3095 the last two frog rods I had were the SLX 7'2" hravy and the lews speed stick. I had the Adu vendetta and Veritas before that and they both did well too. Is there a rod that you're thinking about?

What rod action are you running for this vid? Medium light or medium? I ask because I have a very similar lure but when I work my rod it doesn’t move like that at all haha. It still looks good in the water but I’m just curious about the rod. Any recommendations?
That's just a regular medium power rod. It's a tad softer and that's what I prefer. Not an actual crankbait rod but a tad softer than normal.
I love that jerkbait well im not sure the size i have the smaller one 2 hooks its a slow float but this time of yr i do pretty well with it

Yeah, I prefer a regular mh for stick baits. I like a tad softer med power for jerkbaits.

Yeah, they are fun frogs! I go back and forth with it. I used to only throw it when there was a slight ripple. However, I've thrown it slick calm and caught them too!

I love jerk bait fishing, but have only caught fish on the suspending type. I haven't caught anything the ones that float or sink. Maybe I'm working them wrong, any suggestions? Nice catches on a rainy day.
The floating type does well when you're trying to stay over grass. I honestly don't use the sinking type. Suspended is where it's at for me too!
