    I'm really glad the xtng guy has finally decided to listen and help get the carb correct. I believe he tried to join the tse Facebook group a few weeks back but didn't answer the questions to join we have a no wavering rule with the admin if you don't answer no matter if we know you your declined.

      Hi bud, yes it’s bang on. Stock recommend meter rod setting was 51.61mm. I’m now at 50.20mm so richer. No idle issues and stronger throughout the range. Mix screw 1 1/4 turns out. 👌🏻

    Thanks for all the info Robbo, considering one of these for east Texas forest riding.

    Glad you got it sorted. You can see your loving the bike, and that field looked bloody massive 😳 the woods looked good and technical and you make the slippy mud look easy. ✊

    Great video Robbo!
    I've been waiting for this update on the XTNG, sounds like it's bang on the money now. I'm having a right game getting my 2005 KTM 300 running properly (17years of careless owners/wear) and it chews through fuel something terrible.
    So really good to hear about this, might be worth a look as I wanna start doing some events on it but will get through 10l of fuel in less than 2hr greenlaning.

      Try a NECJ needle #3 (from an RM 250) 38 pilot, 168 main, 1 turn out on air.

    So, the thousand dollar question...should the 250 come as standard with the XTNG carb? We've heard GPX listen and consider feedback...or maybe it could be a UK option from GPX Moto? Ok, that's a few thousand bucks worth of questions....😁

    • @robertmorehead5771
      @robertmorehead5771 2 роки тому

      I don't think so. Stock carb is tunable. But to me is very specific to smash temp, elevation range. If you are riding +-250ft you works be fine. But I swing 2000.

    What did you change in XTNG carb to tune it right.... How is bottom now compared to stock carb? Planning on bringing this carbs to my country

      Hi I just turned the metre rod to make it richer. We have an XTNG Facebook page with the info there. Do you have a Facebook account ? I can invite you to the page.

    I just wonder what was your reason to change the stock carb Robbo?

    • @RobboRobinson
      @RobboRobinson  2 роки тому +1

      Less hassle with Jets and wanted a bit more performance. Bikes runs great and really good on ⛽️ a 2.5 hour race is easily doable without refuelling now with a good reserve leftover.

      Ha ha I don’t think many people had the stamina for what I did yesterday. I was pretty relentless smashing the laps out. Loved the woods mud hole only dropped it once in there and cleaned it virtually every time bar a couple. Great fun 👍🏻

  • @brycep.1127
    @brycep.1127 2 роки тому +1

    do you think the rod difference could be from running 50:1 instead of 40:1? I'm about to contact XTNG myself...!

    • @RobboRobinson
      @RobboRobinson  2 роки тому

      A possibility but I think 40-1 is too much oil though. I’ve always run 50-1 on all my premix bikes without problem.

    • @brycep.1127
      @brycep.1127 2 роки тому +1

      @@RobboRobinson Thinking about it, you running 50:1 is richer on fuel already.

    • @RobboRobinson
      @RobboRobinson  2 роки тому

      @@brycep.1127 yes it is less oil 100 ml to 5 litre compared to 125ml at 40-1. In theory you are leaning the mix with more oil but I don’t think it’s that straightforward.

    • @RobboRobinson
      @RobboRobinson  2 роки тому

      @@brycep.1127 also adding more oil makes it harder to atomise the fuel making the carb work harder

    • @brycep.1127
      @brycep.1127 2 роки тому +1

      So did you have to cut the rod, or just adjust it? And do you think the 38mm would work better up top?
