Man, I forgot how epic Tight Eyez entire set was!! From the moment he peeped ole boy stole his move, threw the chair, getting on stage and banging that chain, going over to Tommy, to hitting that move the boy tried to steal the right way, ending with class by taking a bow,it was just too sick!! Rize was just so raw of a film, so many memorable moments and personalities! I'd love to see a follow up doc on everyone, I hope they're all doing well and their dancing took them to places they'd never dreamed of!!!
5/31/23 and it still amazes me how Krump dancing changed lives, instead of gang banging or being into sports , just go join a dance group. When life hits you the hardest .. in stead of violence.. go dance!!! 🗣️ still one of my all time favorite movies! ❤
Yep cultural vultures have tried to take it over but let’s be clear, when you watch people dance, you can clearly see people’s god given natural talent vs studio taught trash. ALWAYS go back and see where it originated from!
Who's watching this in 2021 ? This is one of my Forever Favorite movies. The talent still gives me goosebumps and the stories still make me cry. Tight Eyez Forever 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Just finding out about this for the first time after Israel adensanya did a lil dance move like this after a fight. Brought the younger eyes to this art.
I remember this when I was younger and we’d all try to mimic. TIGHT EYEZ scared and shocked us with his originality and godly spirit he came out with. NO ONE!!!!! NO ONE!!! new how someone could move like he DOES!!!!! A hood legend always and forever
Mane who it don't matter when I watch this from the day it 1st came out when I had no idea wut krumpin was to now I swear da krumpers got cheated, eyes shoulda maxed out on points and lil homie at the end shoulda brought it on home lol, boy I promise I loved this I think my boy put me on and it stayed in the DVD player 4 months before I took it out and watched somethin else 😂🤣
Eyez and Tommy go way back. I think eyez actually started with Tommy but he branched off if i remember correctly and started his own thing him and big mijo.
He didn't that was clown dancing and that was king tight that he battled he did that to fit the song he used (not the one in the video) stop adding shit that didn't happen
Im watching this in 2018 ready to cry I literally use to live for this it was so much genuine love back then in the black community well far as these 2 groups regardless to who won they showed love to each other and they packed out them shows I use to watch this back to back as a kid !!! & I swear life dancing & just enjoying everything ain't the same no more dog damn smh
I had to come back to what i was raised up on. This will always be such an inspiring movie. This movie here is what started my journey as a dancer. I will forever look up to the king the goat “Tight Eyez”
I love this battle so much. The energy the true pure energy the the originators the true originaters generate on that stage with that crowd. The love the detail In knowing what their MOVES express. Has my heart racing an eyes full of tears of joy. Love this style. Tight Eyez is KINGKINGKINGKINGKINGKINGKINGKING!!!!!!!
These guys literally battled for their dance styles to stay alive. Those were dope asf times to see the birth of 2 art forms. Krump was just an off shoot of Clowning but when Tommy set up the Rize Battles, Krump pretty much made its own shine away from Clowning thus making Krump and Clowning 2 separate entities. Dope.
I was about 16 years old when I watched this. My friend showed this to me in a residential home that we lived in. The one of the best documentaries that I watched, and I still watch these small videos throughout UA-cam because this video was a hit from when I was a struggled teenager through my days. This documentary is an inspiration to the world today, and what they are doing can change the world and make an impact of a brighter future of using battles to release anger than weapons and hands.
Funny bc tight eyez practically won it just off banging the chair at the beginning alone. No way can you start off making it known that you are about to murder whoever then mess around an end up losing lol.
This brought me all the way back to when I was 15!!!!!! UA-cam just buss and I was watching bare krump battles!!!!! This one was my introduction to krumping ❤
Gosh the last time I watch this was back in 07, now it's 2023 😢 all I remember from this documentary was tight eyez! Could never forget him, that man was iconic! One of my favorite documentaries of all time ❤️
People say it is devil or demonic dancing. Well better for them to dance than to stack up body bags at morgue. At least they release some that energy in a positive way.
I love how much heart and soul the krumpers have i remember watching this when i was 10 its been about 11 years and i still get goosebumps watching so much passion and look how far they've come
Mizz Prissy is my favorite she killed it. Both ladies killed it. Mizz Prissy did her thang she gave me chills. Mizz Prissy didn’t come to play. She blew the roof off.
