I have been binge watching your videos for the past few weeks and learned a lot. I've been having some fun with a no-name airbush at my modelling club, but now it's time to do some airbrushing without leaving the comfort of my home. So next week, an airbrush, compressor, some liters of paint, and other related bits and bobs will take residence in my little man-cave, and I'm looking forward to it!!
First 2022 video!!! Can't wait to see more of those brush, looks like an outstanding brush. It would be cool to try some layered fonts or scroll work with it. I had a quick question for the community/Carsten: how do people go about cleaning your stencils/templates? I just started brushing and I hesitate to use my templates right now due to cleaning. I'm in an apartment so no crazy chemicals or anything, just stuff that can go down drains. Thanks! Cheers Carsten!
That’s a cool brush but you can get just as fine lines with the GSI Creos 0.18 double platinum brush that shipped is only 220 bucks. But as always grateful for your videos and great Chanel
I'm interested in hearing your thoughts after using it for a while. Personally, I don't think it's enough of an upgrade to justify the price when my microns are working fine.
Agree totally , this is the replacement for the cmsb V2 if you have any microns then no need to upgrade unless you are looking for another one to add to your collection 🤔
CARSON IF ITS TOO MUCH FOR YOU TO HANDLE! YOU CAN SEND IT MY WAY😁CHEERS WILL ALSO LOVE TO HEAR YOU THOUGHTS ON THIS ONE IN THE NEAR FUTURE. THANKS FOR THE UNBOXING
Always notice when I go from .4 needle nozzle set up to my procon 771 the same air pressure coming from the compressor the procon 771 seems to drop off in pressure significantly is this normal with smaller needle sizes
Yes they are and as mentioned if you want something that is micron equivalent then take a look at the PS.770 / 771 (affiliate link **meaning we receive a small commission for any qualifying sales )👉🏻spraygunner.com/ps771-gsi-creos-mr-airbrush-custom-0-18mm/?aff=9
if I win couple lottery tickets!!! Good lord that one is pricy, I was thinking it would pair well with the evolution( Ha to think the evolution was expensive) Looks like another great tool and if it last with care as your previous mentioned 20 years, it sounds like a great investment but again $$$$$$
Yes they definitely are pricey however they do perform well as they should , also consider the GSI Creos PS.771 great micron equivalent for about half the price 👌🏻 (affiliate link **means we receive a small commission for any qualifying sales ) : spraygunner.com/ps771-gsi-creos-mr-airbrush-custom-0-18mm/?aff=9
As usual a informative presentation. At that price it would be a "look, but don't touch" item round this dwelling. Hell, people would swear I was back at the "stick up king" game. I just want to get the fine detail without the flash. It could come in a blister pack, just the gun. And hey y'all have a nice day down under. 🇺🇲🍺👀
@@AirbrushAsylum Or you can use red in one, and yellow in the other and see if it will spray orange? 😁 But seriously, I think that being able to change sides with the cups is a great idea.
I prefer the red finish. Mine came with the brushed metal… but i got the older CM-SB. From the diagrams, they look like exactly the same body EDIT: ok you measured it, they ain’t! Well I’m hoping the new cup works in my older CM-SB coz I just ordered one. Interesting that they shortened it…
The most successful model, 0.18 nozzle plus a spacious side tank, BUT this model is almost impossible to find! There is another good model with a 0.18 nozzle with a side-mounted tank, BUT it is also impossible to find! I think these are the best models of microns. There are other models with a 0.23 nozzle, but what they are needed for, in my understanding, the word micron is something small, for which a 0.23 nozzle is needed in the micron line, I don’t understand! I think if you decide to spend a lot of money per micron, it’s better to buy either Takumi or SM-SV2, the rest is a waste of money!

Just bought an Harder and Steenbeck Infinity CRplus 0,15 and in the details league it does the job at more than half the price

for me gsi creos 771 is the best airbrush. Especially for the price. Cant go wrong with it
Do you think there is a difference in performance between Custom Micron CM-SB and Micron Takumi?

Is the takumi I5406 replacement needle, the only iwata .18 needle that will fit this Airbrush?

Lol….I’ll keep it in mind and yes I plan to do some more reviews after using it for a longer period of time 👍🏻
@@AirbrushAsylum 😄thanks can't wait for the review
Nice airbrush but is it a step up from the cm sb2 .
The shorter front feels better but apart from that it doesn’t differ too much , the CMSB 2 is now discontinued so this is the replacement 👍🏻
That looks like a great setup!
Living in Hawaii I absolutely need a moisture trap on my compressor and on the airbrush.
Man that price. It’s like 2/3s the cost of a new PS5 lol

I believe I saw a car with Airbrush Asylum decal today near Semophore! 😼😼😼
Lol, yep you would be right I’m in Adelaide at the moment on holiday 👍🏻👍🏻
@@AirbrushAsylum missssed the chance to worship U!
Expensive, but looks so much better than my un-named brand
Look at the GSI Creos brushes on spray gunner

i beem waiting on this one
Lol, thanks man 👍🏻
I'm still I prefer. Harder and Steenbeck
they say the needle is a new steel and more polished.

Looks good
And performs well…as you’d expect from a micron 👍🏻
If you sell 10 paintings for 50 bucks it’s paid for. That’s not an unrealistic goal at all.

Very nice
Thank you 🙏🏻
Have you tried it with 2 cups? 😁
No but I think I might have to, may conciliar the hell out of it lol 😂
