Leopold Bros. Sour Lime Cordial; Or, The Laziest Way to Make Cocktails

- Of course I caught whatever bug my daughter had, so no review until (hopefully) Friday. But for now, have a video on an interesting little product from the Leopold Bros. folks that you can probably get for considerably less than its $40 retail cost. And it's lovely on ice and a really interesting ingredient to play with for cocktailing... but really, I suspect its best use is for blending 1:1 with literally anything else you have around. Make something cold or (as I do) make something hot, you shouldn't need to think about it and pretty much everything seems to work. Tired dads of the world, rejoice!

I can see it working well with the recent-ish trend of making stirred tropical cocktails, bringing juuust a hint of acidity to a rum+modifier drink.
Big time! But ironically, also more straightforward tropical formulations of many or tricky ingredients (thinking of neither sweet nor sour enough OJ for example).
Funny enough, I was thinking along similar lines when I first cracked this. It _feels_ like something best used in little quarter-ounce bits, adding little touches of citrus flowers. But tbh, the eureka moment for me was the utterly lazy 1:1 gimlet. 😂
Get well soon !
Thank you!
I wonder if the use-by date is more about flavor deteriorating than safety.
Possible, I suppose. I'm not really sure what to make of it.
@@differentspirits4157 Do you mean it's open to debate whether the flavor could get any worse?
Half and half with sajous in a daiquiri, half the alcohol and half the lime juice
The LB Lime is 40%, so happily you're still keeping plenty of alcohol in there. 😅
@differentspirits4157 lmk how it turns out, if you haven't already made one 😉
