Coach Paul...one thing you said resonates...you 'don't want to see the Raiders use pick #13 for a QB'. Couldn't agree more. I would like to see the Raiders resolve NEEDS first...RT and CB...then WANTS second...QB, LB, WR, etc. I don't want them to mortgage the next few years on ANY QB. There is always the FA or trade route, later in the year or draft next season, if need be. I think AOC and Minshew are more than capable of putting the ball in the endzone. Oddly enough, I have yet to hear one word on AOC "benefitting from going to war for 9 games"! Seems to me that he is highly intelligent and will have learned a great deal from last year. Is he a pocket passer? Is he a non-scrambling QB? Of course, but he is effective. Let's see him duke it out with Minshew for QB1. With further enhanced D and O via the draft, I think these two guys can bring down 9 or more W's for us. Playoffs in 2025? You betcha! Win totals in LV? 6.5? Forgetaboutit! I'm on the over for sure. COME ON TELESCO!
Like Ive said since day 1......Penix. Yes hes risky but we can not afford to risk passing on his elite potential. We have needed an elite QB like the deserts need the rain. Few things I know for sure...he will be elite deep passer/ elite fades in endzone( davonta adams, Jakobi Meyers/ elite back shoukder throws. All huge nfl check marks. Very smart, obsessed and dedicated to his craft, loves the game, elite leader and character, elite at understanding defenses amd coverages and always knows his progressions, doesnt get sacked ( always knows where his quick read is, way more elusive especially in the pocket than an Aidan( see texas game) elite arm talent, made the most nfl throws all season with elite placement of the ball to where only his wrs can snag, has a quick release when he wants to get the ball out, ots not always the longer delivery, he turnes around every program hes ever been. Yes, he has things to work on and thats our coaches job. Ive seen people say he struggles with pressure, ive seen him stand amd deliver that ball while knowing a big hit was coming time after time. He needs so.e work but he is one of the best passers college has ever seen. He can be a star. His deep balls were elite very rarely were they 50 50 balls. Agree w you on sometimes relying on his arm and not in best position. Gotta work on that.The arm talent is a gift and curse sometimes lol i used to do that sometimes and it actually hard to stop. I coach young qbs and the new coaches tesch all kinds of different arm angles these days but yes you need to have your feet right still. Penix is smart as far as knows when to throw ball away and lives to play another down. The past 2 seasons the next closest qb was about 1100 yards away behind penix, bo nix. Nobody knows the future just my final case for Penix

I've read where the Raiders have contacted the Cardinals about what it would take to get to No. 4...Arizona responded that they want to wait until it is on the clock (i.e., see which quarterbacks went in the first three picks) before considering trade offers.
I’m beginning to think the heck with getting a quarterback let’s just build better with what we got. Stiffen up our offensive line. Get a new long ball receiver.
