Nicely done to add Lloyd into the mix of the Ultra Mech. Now all we need is Jay and Zane's Mech and the completion of the Ultra Mech is at hand. Hey! It just dawned upon me. What if Nya had a Vehicle? Maybe that certain vehicle can go onto the Mech, too? Good idea, eh?
Thanks. I was planning to add Nya but I don't have her minifigure yet. I'm also still thinking now how I can add her vehicle to the combined mode. Maybe an add-on armor or a weapon. Also if the joints can handle the added weight. Right now, due to the combined weight of all the components, the hip joints feels its near its limits. I would also like to not alter the combined mode too much to accommodate another vehicle 😁

I tried to make Jay's vehicle more involved with the combination and not just a backpack. 😂 I feel Nya had always a stand alone story as she was samurai X aside P.I.X.A.L. if I recall correctly. I just based it on the LEGO set I saw when I was starting to build ninjago mechs. Since she now has the Samurai X Mech set, I'm thinking of upgrading it and give it a helicopter mode 😁

Maybe when Nya combines with the Ultra Mech from behind if you are going to put her mech there, Jay's mech will shift to the front so Jay will be more involved. And if there is anything below the helicopter mech aka, Nya's Mech, maybe that can help with the hips of the ultra mech, as well. We could also add wings for the Helicopter Mech to show that the mech could fly too. Sounds cool? Don't mind the 3rd paragraph. I'm usually the brains when it comes to creative ideas, you see.
I can't say. Maybe you can use some of pieces like the wheels and the gold wings. I think it would be cheaper to get the pieces individually rather than buying the new set to make this build. I would focus on getting the pieces for the arm then try to make it into a vehicle.
Sorry but I don't have a part list. I don't know the id nor sometimes the name of the parts as I only buy based on the looks 😂. I do show all the parts I used for the builds and added chapters to help to the viewers. I always just went with replaying videos from others or staring at pictures for minutes to understand how the build was made when I started building mechs and got used to it. 😁
Yup! For this version I added his vehicle as an Arm. I would also like to make add-ons to the combined mode using vehicles piloted Nya or P.I.X.A.L. if it would be possible without major revisions 😁

Just broke down my combo mech & Lloyd car tonight so I can determine what parts I already have & what ill have to buy. It's a bit of a mixed bag right now, but I suspect that once I know more about the remaining components it'll be easier (?). That said, can I just use the tires that Lloyd's car comes with for the back wheels or will that interfere with the shoulder too much?
Yes you can use the rear tires from LEGO set 71763. I used those before getting the new tires used for the build now. It just sticks out a bit compared to the new tires.
I used some from 71763. I only used a couple of parts and Lloyd's minifigure then some from my collection. I do suggest to buy the parts separately as I did not use all of the parts from that set. I also have an updated design in in my Rebrickable page.
