The look and design of all the vehicles of this set are just SO random, unrelated and discrete that it looks like a set released in early 2000s and I LOVE it
As a Power Rangers, Super Sentai, and Ninjago fan…this was right up my alley. Bought it just now and ready to see this thing come together when it gets here.
The enemy mech almost looks like a sort of bat, and now I'm just thinking about how much cooler some giant bat enemies would be than our 7th time getting snakes...
Not my favorite Ninjago mech ever but an admirable attempt by Lego to make a smaller scale combinable Power Rangers esque robot. Not sure how playable it is, but the fact that it goes together without any rebuilding, and actually hold together is pretty impressive. Also like the color scheme between all the vehicles, and the combined form. Also lookes like a new ratchet piece for the hip assembly. Could be a very useful piece down the road.
I agree i mean i will be honest, build wise its not as bombastic or intricate as othe rmech builds but the attemps and the concepts is already been amazing I hope they will do more of these kinds of sets in the future, combiner mechs is all good for me I will definitely be getting this one and make a MOC version,planned to make them like transformers with individual bot modes and alt modes ans able to combine together in the end
True! Honestly it looks flimsy like one tap or the slightest movement will make it fall. But I'm still going to get it and make a MOC. As someone else stated, who also had the same idea as me, I plan to make alt versions of the vehicles and mech and still be able to combine together. Great concept but with some flaws. I mean they thought the Overlord dragon's tail was brilliant, honestly it was annoying so I replaced it with ball and socket joints and now it's posable.
Ok if they add this into the next season I swear u would luv ninjago for the rest of my life, those gun peices look so cool I can use those for my lego figure

This is surreal as all he-, as a kid I did this sort pf thing with my ninjago sets so see an official version is really wierd and awesome at the same time
I love the concept behind this set but the execution is terrible IMO. It starts well with Kai's much and Cole's build is his usual tank but then we get... Another tank for Zane and... Shoulderpad plane for Jay. The combination is similar, with the legs being very sooid and then just, extra brick arms and some armor. It looks like half of the combination came from some other set that wasn't intended to work together. To fix this it might've been good to give Kai's mech a way to move tue arms backwards, then bring down the large arms from Cole's build an give them actual hands made from parts of Jay's build.
I bought it to double dip on the GWP year of the tiger and Monkie Kid sets. Looks cool enough, not sure if i'll build it or try to trade it for another set I want
how does this compare to Zanes titan mech from earlier this year? All I really want is a good posable one and a good base for potential modding to Gundam style
Always wanted lego to design this kind of mech and they do it with Ninjago wich is one of my favorite licence. But de construction seems not very stable and i'm afraid of the pieces they used to connect the legs parts. I think thses small pieces will easily break because of the weight of the upper torso. It's a cool set and It will be awesome to see how mechs builders will use it as a base for MOCs.
