Thank you again Tony! This particular line of equipment is some of the nicest looking, performing, and great sounding stereo pieces from Sansui. My very first piece of equipment I ever purchased was a CA-3000 preamp; paid $70 for it in 1979 (used)...wish I still had it. I didn't realize what I had; nothing modern around that did what that thing did for sound.
You mention about the camera overheating all the time, but to me that doesn't sound like so much a bug/feature as much as it sounds more like a completely defective unit. If it's new, have you tried contacting the manufacturer? Or if you got it via Amazon (I forget where you said you got it), then I would try an exchange first.
Thanks Tony, great video series. Good to see the audo[f|ph]ile doing useful work this time ;) Great amp, but what were they thinking at Sansui when selecting those crappy spring-loaded speaker terminals? Perhaps the bean-counters had to have their way somewhere, who knows.
Tony, did you like lost in space by chance. Perhaps you could add to your lawyer inspired preface on electrocution, the lost in space robots voice "danger danger" (Tony inspired by your movie comments)
My sansui has clean bass compared to all the other amps I've had (almost as clean as my Hammond system) P.S. always figured it was because of the stiff power supply.
The inside of that device is now a thing of absolute beauty. Nice.
Great series. Looking forward to the next project.
Thanks Tony.
Microphones sound pretty good Tony. The part that dips below 40hz almost came through. Pretty decent system on my side to detect. Nice work as always

Looks and sounds awesome!
A really top notch project. Always impressed. Great video Tony, thank you. Best wishes from UK.
Thanks Tony,,
Greatly enjoy your videos…
Thanks again Tony 😊
3:06 - Interesting that they went with 1-pin Molex(?) connectors instead of multi-pin connectors!

An Audiofile doing something that can actually be measured? (spade width) Say it isn't so! 🤣🤣
Re: the speaker terminals. They were a small step up from the flat-head / cross-head screw terminals that were on earlier low end units of the era.
Which speakers are you running in the shop? Are they any of the ones you've repaired on the channel?
I'm @10:00 and Tony has the "audio file" out! 😳
Phew! Just using it as a file.

As a young lad, I never really liked the Lost in Space series, save for two things; The robot and Penny ;)
@@xraytonyb My feeling exactly lost in space was a loser except for Robbie. I still enjoy, The Day the Earth Stood Still with Gort

Tony, Tony, Tony... huge mistake! You should only store the audio file in a tin of snake oil!
Time to add a HP 8903 to the bench.😏
Rhode & Schwartz UPV..!🤩
@@jeanpierre3193 Too expensive.😕
You actually talkin about "meters"? Works really really nice. Thanks for your time, humor and skills.
