This is the main reason why I quit parrying. It’s already difficult to memorize the hitboxes of the bosses attacks and now i have to memorize what is parryable and what isnt? Lol no. I’ll stick with ds2 parrying so much easier.
I think other people will come around to realizing it, too. Plenty of people said Malenia was unbeatable without LMSH's build or a build that could poise break her at first, too. That being said, it definitely seems like his hit boxes need to be tightened up some, and the lightshow of phase 2 taken down about 8 notches.

Biggest help for me is if you do make a mistake in the second phase try to refrain from dodging backwards. Got to keep dodging towards him to avoid the light beams after each attack.

It's Open World RPG with a lot or abusive mechanics, it's not the same as fighting ornstein and smough. There are many ways to solo this boss with lesser effort. Let alone in an RPG that has a lot of Grinding exploits. If you can manage to even reach the boss fight alone. You have what it takes.
GG for using milady sword, my favorite weapon by far, the same weapon I used for killing radahn. He is probably the hardest boss in the series, at least for me he was. He is the only boss in all of From games that took me 50 attempts to beat (no summons/shields/cheese)

Awesome video. Great parrying in phase 2. He kept nuking me in phase 2, so I resorted to the thorns technique. Didn’t want a second Malenia experience with him.
It's been patches in 1.13, but the impenetrable thorns sorcery did BROKEN damage In the ballpark of 11-12 THOUSAND damage per hit WITH massive bleed buildup I haven't updated for that very reason😏@@Pietro-hy8kr

Yup everybody can beat him but the only issue the scissors attack used parry as way to still not get damage but sadly u get attach , this attack is pain
I did this fight with A Flower Blooms Twice ash of war on milady. People underestimate just how damaging that AoW is. 1st it procs Scarlet Rot. Then after evading a long combo stream, a second hit rips through so much of his hp. Even more than the stance AoW used in this vid. Then I get to reapply SR for some D.O.T. while I wait for another opportunity to strike again👌🏿
When you get that first phase down dodging like that this fight gets much more manageable and the first time i managed to beat him that way the fight was barely like 2 mins long lol
well, his first phase is easy...you can actually beat him using a shield and a poking weapon...his 2nd phase is a bit tricky....so yeah, I decided to parry the shit out of him as well...but status effects still work wonders on him too :)
Obviously you did amazing, but also, rng helped a lot. Many hugs, no x slashes, and he did the light dashing attack that moves him away from you and gives you time to heal. Well done.
Good fight! I think your parry was quite good but the timing sometimes was off (happened to me too while learning his moves). His moves are very predictable actually.
You did better than me, half way through I summoned and unleveled tiche (lasted about 10 seconds) to give me a little breathing room. I just learned to parry him. Guy is just bonkers in phase 2.

Both clips were in the same sitting (about 9 attempts apart from each other), no respec, no change in level, etc.
I finally beat the boss myself today. Lvl 124, misericord parry strat, took about 15 hours going from me fighting him for the first time to killing him finally. Including all the setup I got for the parry setup as I was on a completely different build before grinding radahn.
Truth be told my pc setup struggled with the boss more than me. I would get half my runs ended by screen freeze or lag into double buffered moves that I didn't want to do and die for it.
The question isn't "can you beat Radahn?" Of course you can. It's a videogame. The question is: "Will you have fun fighting Radahn?" And the answer is, most likely, no. Behind this video there are God knows how many attempts trying to get a cool cinematic fight this person can upload for clout and views. If a monkey writes Shakespeare's hamlet on a Type writer it's not that any monkey can, it's that the stars aligned and chance made it happen.
I noticed in my str/fth build this boss is very fun in the way it pushes the limits of your build. I refused to use vow of the indomitable or shields cuz i wanted the bragging rights in case anyone tried to downplay me, but things like raptors mist and deflecting tear and generally being a tank wouldve worked just fine. Everytime i had to go back to the drawing board and see what was working and what wasnt. Settled on a high holy high phys defense character using golden epithath and miquellan straight sword, coupled with thorny cracked tear and golden vow. It was exhilarating to not "git gud" but actually outmatch the boss with your build coherence and ive only seen people do more creative things on youtube
Also general tip for anyone still struggling with him level up your scadu to at least 15 and get a crimson Seed Talisman for the love of God, you'll notice the difference instantly
the ONLY valid way to defeat radahn that counts is: -NO blocking -NO parrying -NO sorceries -NO incantation -NO summoning(ashes/fingers) -NO rolling i-frames enhancers (talisman/physick tears) nor backstep i-frame enablers. -NO poison(scarlet rot included) -NO status build effects in general(frost/bleed) -NO locking on -NO scadutree blessing -NO leveling up -NO weapon -NO rolling nor backstepping -NO attacking -NO moving -NO trying _comment made by an elitist tryhard asshole_
I used a cold milady on my most recent fight with rahdahn and getting frostbite to proc on your critical hit is so clutch for getting through second phase effiecently.. also parrying him is a far more effective strat then rolling. He probly killed me 300+ times on my rolling attempts, some his punish windows he just cycle into an undodgable attacks that stun lock you and frustrate you to death. Super weak tbh, i wish they add a small bit of lore or an npc noting how weak rahdahn is to parrys or something that prepared you for this shit tank of a fight. Instead the story is comprised of useless npcs that you have to go out of your way to find and they just have some useless item and die later on.
Um, no. Look, I _guarantee_ you that I can't do that. PC Radahn killed my level 270+ mid-rolling-in-Verdigris-armor ass in a matter of seconds. My aging and badly mistreated nervous system isn't even fast enough to dodge the attacks I actually know _how_ to dodge. I have never once succeeded in avoiding that first gravity attack. I do not believe I am physically capable of beating him in a fair fight.

How are you dealing so much damage per hit?? I'm lv217 and my strength build Heavy Greatsword only deals 1200~1500 damage, if I use Cold Milady it's more like 400-600 😭

I started the DLC around Level 120 and finished at 168. I think the scadutree fragments seem to affect your strength/defence more than rune level, though.

IMO the biggest improvement needed is a better camera. Pull the camera up and out a bit and the lightshow won't completely obscure what he's doing.
