- This repair seems like a very daunting task however if you have help (I did not) this isn't really that bad of job to do. The entire dash comes out as a complete assembly and from there the AC box comes out fairly easily.
Check out these videos if you plan on doing this on your Ram.

Fellow charger owner here, '69 383cid. Rock on.
Lot of work but atleast it's a truck and it's all plug and play most people wouldn't attempt this job great reference video for them.
The worst part of this job is pulling the dash and even that isn't too bad.
Thanks for sharing. Would love to see more videos of exactly where the Bolts are!😊
Great work, u should probably get good heat in the winter time as well👍
thank you! my truck has been stuck blowing hot air at my feet for MONTHS
Is there any special steps for assuring that the position of the controller knob for the a/c - heater lines up with the position of the blend doors?…. Meaning I want to make sure that the starting point of the (say) defrost blend door is in line with the defrost on the controls… (don’t want them to be out of sync) or is that necessary to be considered about?
When you move the controls after you put everything back together, it should move everything where it needs to be.
and the fragile plastic is more common on the older years, my 2002 came with the dash blown to bits, best things to do is prevent as much sun light to it as you can, it’s cheap chinese plastic and the sun makes it brittle
where did you buy your new parts?
My truck clicks rapidly when it's not running. I'm guessing it's the same issue. The blend door is trying to work every few minutes
Didn't show how to do anything..
I have a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500, I only have heat on the passenger side. Heater core tubes are both warm when truck is running. Does anyone know what possibly could be the issue. If it’s perhaps the blender doors?
I’ve got the same issue. Happened right after I changed my coolant, but doesn’t seem related. I’ll be investigating the blender doors myself.
So this was not a live video you pre-recorded it ?
Not a live video. I just set it as a premiere.
@@Charger383Mopar well that’s sucks was not able to chat with you…I’ll know next time
Done those before...pain in the neck!!
You didn't show how you took the frickin doors off bro
If your installing these doors like I did, it's all pretty self explanatory when you get things this far apart. Also the new blend doors came with instructions.
@Charger383Mopar dude I cannot figure out how to get that metal rod out of the flaps to separate the box, just feels like I'm gonna break the flap
