- Korn played at Mississippi Nights in St. Louis on October 22, 1996. "Life Is Peachy" had just been released the week before. We weren't able to videotape the live show but got to interview Jonathan Davis and Fieldy. Limp Bizkit and Delinquent Habits was touring with them and Fred Durst was watching the interview off camera. He makes a brief appearance in what might historically be the first video footage of Fred in St. Louis.
The interview was edited live with our Videonics MX-1 mixer. It had a chroma key option so we put a blue blanket up behind them thinking we could key out the background. We only had a few work lamps and couldn't remove the background very well. So they got interviewed with a blue blanket behind them.
It's adorable when JD smiles.
Shut up
Random ass Fred Durst
I want a time machine so I can go back to Woodstock and watch their concert in 1999. Jonathan is the whole package he is the bomb
They were such a breath of fresh air back then. They mixed metal with hip-hop and goth, and their sound was so revolutionary it was impossible to place them in any specific genre. So they gave birth to a whole new metal genre.
Korns's debit album came out a year before Roots
@Jose CFDC actually Sepultura was influenced by korn for their album Roots.
Ross Robinson did it.
@Jose CFDC Wrong. KoRn and Faith No More started that sound
@@josecfdc3240you wrong Korn 1994 -Roots 1996
02:53 "1, 2, 3, and I come with the wicked style, when you know that I'm from the wicked, crew, act like you knew. Cause I got everybody jumpin' to the voodoo You kickin' wicked rhymes, picket signs, while me and my mob got a truck load of 9's" lol
Wow, they look so young here
I was at this show! We missed Limp Bizkit but we saw the full Deliquent Habits set and of course the whole Korn set. It was absolute insanity.
I love how they're just shitting hard on MTV, and would turn around and dominate it in the coming years.
Even though fieldy was sort of a jerk back then you can tell he still cared a lot about his friend Jon :)
They've known each other since middle school, so I'm sure they're all pretty close
