Peco becomes an absolute unit if apprenticed correctly and placed at the front of an Attack formation. 50% chance to be attacked + 100% Reprisal, high DEF/STR, and hp regen per turn? Yes please
I like how you spoke of it feeling like home, this is the kind of feeling i seek in games or experiences in general. It is one of the only 2 games i did not play in the series and it seems exciting with dramatic moments.Simplicity is so comforting and it is just the type of experience i need.I did like the character art style in it,someone spoke of the naked girl and i did like it too hehe.
This game has alot of pixelbutts. Yeah buddy it's a good game. No crazy neon genesis evangelion plot points or anything. Your just a dragonboi kicking pixelbutts.
A lot of unique and rare items can be obtain throught fishing/manillo merchants and the faerie village. Fishes can be used has items in battle and help restore HP, AP and status. A whale can basically do the same thing has a moontear. Granted Nina is not the best character, if she is trained under the right masters and given some items to boost her HP, she become the best magic attacker. Momo and Garr can be useful in the same way if trained properly.
Yeah I didn't spend much time fishing unfortunately. I figured nina would be better if I used the right master. Without that she definitely lags behind though.
@@StewTube Nina has speed. Rei is usually the fastest character in your party for like the first 30-40 levels. After lv 40+, Nina gets more speed than Rei. Getting a lot of Extra turns. That's her advantage. Make her study under the right masters and equip her with useful skills to make the best use of her. Or keep her around as battery for Ryu. Give her the [Transfer AP] skill and have her replenish Ryu's AP whenever you use his dragon form.
I love nakey deis in BoF3 hehehe Also, despite that only ryu and rei can transform you can technically turn everyone of your characters into a unique dragon like creature with ryu's ascension ability, I forgot what genes you need to do it but all I know is when Nina is in your party you can change into a bird like dragon, Momo into a Cannon/Mortar like dragon, Peco into A Giant Peco like dragon, Rei into a Tiger Dragon and Garr into a Tiamat.
@@StewTube yep they certainly don't on their own at least but with ryu's ascension ability it becomes a reality with the power of friendship! Lol But for real tho they do transform. 👌
Needs more Cat-Girls. # of pixel-butts was acceptable. Seriously thought it looked like a fun game, had a solid story with some dark moments, had great music, and I do want to check the game out sometime. Also that outro song is fire.
I absolutely love this game. It has arguably the best story in the franchise and the gameplay is very fluid. Unlike the first two games, you don't need to grind as much (save for the final dungeon) and a few other places. It seems like the Master System in BoF3 borrows some elements from the Espers in FFVI. Like the Espers, you can gain stat bonuses with some of them if you have one equipped when you level up. Unlike the Espers, you cannot switch between them at any given instance outside of battle. Instead, you must physically choose to study under a master for a while to learn certain spells/abilities. Like you said, Nina and Garr (Garland) aren't the most practical companions to use, but you can still perform very well with the right equipment and setup. Momo is a highly versatile party member who can be used either as a healer or a support character; the only major problem is her abysmal hit percentage. Also worth mentioning is the catchy, jazz-inspired soundtrack, though it borrows elements from other music genres as well such as rock and hip-hop. That being said, there are a few things I dislike about BoF3: - The overworld design seems too linear unlike the first two games. - The desert wandering scene seems like a good idea on paper, but poorly implemented. It felt very monotonous and drawn-out. - Party members can only be switched in the overworld. While this is a common design choice in many RPGs (i.e: KOTOR 1), this is punishing in BoF3. Sometimes, you reach a certain point in a dungeon where you need the abilities of a certain companion, and if he/she is not in your party, you need to backtrack all the way to the start, change your party and then go back to the desired location. This flaw was resolved in BoF4 where you can switch between all party members at any point. Despite its flaws, BoF3 is one of my all-time favourite RPGs mainly due to its story and music.
Was that goddessburger of a final boss a pain to fight? I ate lavamen and archmages so it was more funny than a challenge. She had that nice gutslap though
I loved BoF 2's cover art, as it's like Conan the Barbarian & SPOLIER ALERT : one gets to see Chun-Li AND on BoF 2 you get to meet & tag alonf with BoF1 chars as well
I'd watch an anime of this, doesn't need to be long running, a miniseries would do. But I'm certain I'd demand more when it's done
You mean BoF3 or my videos? Lol.
BoF3 would defo make a great anime

My viewers said the same thing lol. Petco was fuckin crazy maybe.

I didn't know there was an ao transfer skill? That woulda been super helpful lol
I never knew transfer was a learnable skill from Tank bot.
Breath of fire 3 is truly an amazing experience, you said it best “feels like at home”
Feels like watching a good anime on toonami huh? Lol thanks for watching!
@@StewTube haha, good ol Toonami, makes me feel nostalgic for sure. I love Breath of Fire 3
BOF 1-3 remakes would be a dream come true.
It would be pretty sweet lol

I have a lot of nostalgia for the BOF games. Was fun watching you stream this and this review is amazing. Good work Stew my dude!
Ayyyyyy thanks my man! Glad you enjoyed!
If only I would have it in school ages, I'd definitely give that a try.
It's never too late! I didn't play it as a kid but It made me feel like a kid again
Was definitely blast watching your stream of this. I find BoF in general is pretty tough until you learn how to break it.
Sounds about right lol. Thanks for stopping in during streams mayne
Love BoF 3 sank hundreds of hours into it as teen. It needs some love capcom and an anime would be epic
I agree! An anime would be awesome!
When you transformed into a certain dragon. Depending on your companion he will change form . I believe its the behemoth.
Nice!
Nice review. It was a blast watching these streams.
Thanks man! Yeah it was a good game lok
Wish Teepo survived and helped as a party member for the Myria fight. Love this game, always wished it had 2 or 3 more party members
I agree it could have used a few more
Teepos character arc was sad. I totally forgot he existed until bam! He's back and sided with mytia

The video was just an excuse to make that outro tbh
JRPG butts were a thing from the 90's
Xenogears
Lunar 2 Eternal Blue
Mega Man Legends 2
@@connorwaltman4966 simpler times.
Xenogears had slot of butts yeah. Gonna have to play lunar now lmao. I will document all of the butts.

Totally feel ya on that lol. I was playing jrpgs at like 7 or 8 years old too

I believe when you fuse with Pecos he can naturally heal and is immune to disease
Never noticed that lol

Yeah that desert bit was kinda crazy. Nice vibes though!
This i the only bof game I've played. I definitely enjoyed it!
best bof3 review on youtube
That bit at the very end I paid a 20$ commission for the song to be made and like 2 people have probably seen it lmao
If you thought that was bad, you should see the UK cover for Breath of Fire III... Of course, they finally did a decent one for IV.
Hot damn I'll have to take a look lol
