    I think their product formulations are a lot better than The Ordinary's. TO niacinamide serum was my fave for the longest time until I tried the Inkey List one. It doesn't foam up, doesn't leave my skin feeling tight and isn't anywhere near as sticky. Same thing goes for their vitamin C serums and glycolic acid toner. Very similar products, but a much nicer consistency and application experience

      I have to say, I heard so much hype about the ordinary, so I got a ton of their stuff to try, and have had it for months now but have been so underwhelmed I sold half of it on mercari already and now I'm considering selling everything else but the peeling solution. Just don't like how their serums feel. Very cheap.

    • @LexiNot
      @LexiNot 3 роки тому +6

      @@rianne_9042 the ordinary’s 30% vit c has silicones too, could it be to prevent irritation by making the ingredients absorption slower and less effective? I haven’t tried their 30% vit c serum, I use the 15% and egc one and I have to say I’m very pleased with it :)

    I'm on day 10 of using the Inkey List routine recommended by the skincare recipe quiz. The texture of my skin has drastically changed in a pretty short amount of time. I had what I considered a good skincare routine before, but I still felt like my skin felt very textured and dry. My skin feels so smooth now and makeup goes on a lot better! I will say it took awhile to get the products, so the fact that you have 7-8 steps and very small product bottles, I wish the accessibility was a little better. I am hoping it will improve as they grow and I'm sure it will! But since it takes weeks to get your products and some are out of stock, it's hard to know when you need to order more.

Their interaction with customers just made me support the brand more! btw I thought Mark and Colette were married lol They have such a great chemistry together! Although I love their products very much, I hate their packaging! Their Niacinamide and Bha serum tend to leave residue in the opening of the cap! Most of the glass used in packaging usually ends up in landfills. While glass can be recycled, unless youre separating your glass waste and sending it to specific recycling centers, it doesn't really make much difference in terms of waste. The best thing we can do is reuse package and reduce the amount of packaged products we buy. Recycling is an expensive, time consuming and difficult process that we shouldn't rely on.

      @@CassandraBankson I'd love that too! I'm currently trying their Porebright N10 serum and it is ok-ish but one thing which honestly pisses me off already about Facetheory is how they misleadingly market their products in terms of active ingredients and their concentration to consumers. Imho, it is a form of deception which is intolerable.
      For example, they advertise their Porebright serum by explicitly pointing out that it contains, alongside niacinamide, azelaic acid. Guess where it can be found on the ingredient list? Right, at the bottom, in the very last position.
      Another example are their Regenacalm serums, marketed as containing 2% or 3% retinol, respectively. That already reeks of bullshit bc such high concentrations of retinol aren't even allowed in the EU. Thus, these serums wouldn't be available in Germany where I live if they actually contained so much retinol. Now, if you have a look at the ingredients, you can see that the Regenacalm serum only contains retinyl palmitate (the weakest derivative, if I'm not mistaken) and the Regenacalm Pro version contains 3% encapsulated retinol. What that exactly means and how high the concentration actually is - nobody knows. Sorry for the long rant, but this kind of deliberate deception annoys me to no end. 😅

    Just wanted to share information with someone who maybe thinking about buying the Inkey List Retinol Serum (not the Retinol Eye Cream). So many reviews online had mentioned that this product didn't cause any irritation, very gentle in general and perfect for the beginners with retinol. Well, I purchased it to start my battle with after-maskne pigmentation and I know that with retinol it's possible that you will see results after a few months.
    The thing is, which unfortunately I discovered only when I started using it, that this product includes not a retinol as an active but Retistar 1% and Granactive Retinoid 0,5%. 1% of Retistar it is a component, which actually contains only 0,05% of retinol in it and 0,5% of Granactive Retinoid is 0,025% of HRP (Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate). So correct me if I'm wrong but with this amount of actives in the end you will get probably a placebo effect but not a decision for your skin problems. And for sure it is so gentle you can use under eyes as well.
    I use it for 1,5 months now and I don't see any improvements with my pigmentation spots, my money thrown away. If you have the same problem I recommend to go get something else.

    I admire the brand and look forward to purchasing some items from them, one of which was the peptide moisture which in Dr. Dray’s (the dermatologist on UA-cam) opinion isn’t actually worth it. Idk if the brand is overhyped but I’d like to see a proper review of their products specially their peptide moisture, which goes more into detail of the ingredients and the benefits and not just the application and feel. I’m only looking for a second opinion and want to learn more but ingredients is something where I can’t match up to all of your knowledge. If you could please review it beyond the application, weighing the good and bad ingredients, it would be very helpful. Hope it isn’t too much to ask for. I reached out to customer service asking a question that was pretty straightforward ab 2 of their products - the Vit C+EGF and the HA serum leave my face feeling dry & sticky, and i follow directions to the letter. after being ignored in their online chat for a good 15 mins, i finally just sent them an email. 2 days later, i got what i would call a generic customer service answer. Felt like just a blow off and they recommended that i do something in my process that I’d clearly listed as a step i was already doing, so felt like they didn’t even read my message. not impressed, to say the least

After i apply my tretinoic creme that i use since my thirties and my skin look fabulous.
