    No, thank you. I have spent 5 hours going through reupholstering videos and finally found yours. So much clearer in instruction and the why's and description than any I have seen thus far. I am saving this to watch over and over so I can eventually try y hand at it. We have ONE re-upholsterer in my area and he is really getting up there in age....think late 80's. I just bought a very well used soft leather sofa I want to try it on. the bones are good and the graduating young man said it was very comfortable, but it was in a student housing rental, so the material leaves much to be desired. Kudos to your camera person too. Excellent tutorial.

    Hi you are a Master. I have a sofa similar to this, the only thing is I only have one board running around the sofa. I don't know where to attach the decking and arms to? It's a Flexsteel sofa. All the foam etc; does not need to be renewed. The only thing I need to do is replace the cardboard on the outside arms.

    I would have liked to see how you made the cushion. Would it be difficult to replace a loose seat cushion with a fixed cushion instead? My father was a master upholsterer in New Orleans and you both have different techniques with very nice outcomes. Great work👍🏼👍🏼

    This is very instructive as usual, however one of the reasons I watched was to see how you made the panels on the front arms which you skipped entirely. Perhaps that is something you can consider do a video on. Thanks.

    • @ellisgarrett1847
      @ellisgarrett1847 6 років тому

      Like you, I was really excited to see how the arm panels were done. Show us your tricks for this, please!

    • @nichr165
      @nichr165 6 років тому

      I work as an upholster, here in Denmark.
      The panel in the front, is a thin piece of plywood, usual with a 5 mm foam, and sometimes a thin fiber.
      If you are using a woven fabric, where you gently can work a headless nail through, which in most cases you can, it is easyer to wait with the nails until you put it on. Otherwise you have to use a nail with a big flat head, and put it all the way through the banel, before you put fabric on, and the GENTLY apply it to the front.
      Old chairs and sofas, can have a peace of wood, with some pegs that you fit in some holes in the chairs arm. Don't use glue friktion only.
