The historical Sakthikulangara Sree Dharma Sastha temple is one of the very few 'Sree Dharma Sastha temples’ in Kerala where the very charismatic charm and uniqueness of the holy Deity takes the devotees to the unknown realms of spirituality. Sree Dharma Sastha is believed to be the ‘Saving God’ of four communities namely Sakthikulangara Cherry, Kannimel Cherry, Kureepuzha Cherry and Meenathu Cherry. Koottur family is part and parcel of the festivities.
Sakthikulangara Sree Dharma Sastha is affectionately called "Kunchachamman".

it is good effort the history of the temple can understand the new generation, south side of the temple there is a kave, better to include arrattu dirshyangal. UNNI, PERINGODE, KANNIMEL.
