Billy looks so damn happy that I can't help it but to be in a good mood watching this.
Billy was popular in the 70s when i was in High School. He has 2 or 3 big hit singles. He was a great keyboard player known as the 5th Beatle. He played keyboards on Get Back in London on the Beatles rooftop video.He played other Beatles songs that needed keyboards. I met him several years ago before he passed. He played in Ringo Starrs 3rd All Star band. I ran into him in the hotel lobby. He was very sweet and personable. I had my pic taken with him. We talked for 15 min. What a great prtson. He died in Arizona not long after that. He died from AIDS complicstions. He had the biggest smile and a gap inbetween his two front teeth. R.I.P. Billy ❤ He always played lead keyboard he was awesome. Look for Outta Space or something like that. You will love it my friend.
This is the Goat of "feel good songs" if you listen closely, you can hear some gospel in there.
This tune will always evoke special memories for me. When I was in high school (decades ago), I was on the dance team, and this was the tune we marched to each time we entered the basketball court or football field to perform. Love it!
I so appreciate your memory. wow. cool. For me, the dance team try-out song was Fleetwood Mac, Go Your Own Way. I still feel the fear & excitement when I hear that song. lol
MAJ, in the late sixties and early seventies they had small hand held transistor radios with one wired ear plug (you got mono sound). Later they had with two ear plugs but the popularity explosion of Disco and early Rap, made the BIG BOOM BOXES more popular! You could hear people walking down the streets for blocks!1😂😂😂😂😂

Supremely deepcut performance but the 1994? Kennedy Center Honors had Aretha Franklin, Little Richard and Billy Preston do a group performance and I revisit that every other month lol. I always think of that when I think of Billy Preston and how he said Aretha Franklin is the best singer this f*cked up country ever made.
