ive been daily driving my squarebody for 16 years now with a 600hp 496 so its fine as a daily and fun as a drag truck and awesome offroad more capable than any new truck that is as long as a bus and as heavy as one too with independent front suspension instead of a solid front axle. i also dont pay anything but a couple hundred dollars for gas a month so its also way cheaper to drive than any new truck where youre also paying a stupid amount of money on payments for a 80k truck that no truck is worth.

I live in the tn mountains and daily a 86 lifted square body with 5 miles to the gallon... I regret nothing lol 😆 it will go anywhere

Haha that sounds awesome! I really don’t want it to sound like I didn’t like the truck, it’s just not for me daily aha happy cruisin!

I’ll pass that recommendation onto the owner, I’m sure it would help! Cheers

I drive a 1977 chevy k20 and have been driving it for 8 years with nothing wrong with it. Literally got it for 500 dollars out of a barn and with some work turned out great

Us Country boys will show you how useless that truck is. Just wondering how that car would perform on the farm. City Boys are useless

    • @200degrees
      @200degrees  2 роки тому +2

Haha if I lived on a farm the truck would make much more sense for sure! But yes I am city through and through. That being said my cars towed 4-7,000lb trailers with regularity, that trucks never had a trailer behind it ;)

@@200degrees Your CAR tows trailers reg. Lol thats funny. City Boys paint k20 trucks pink or teal or whatever & think thats a truck NO. Country boys put 8k winches, snow plows, roof racks, tool boxes we can carry ANTHING ANYWHERE. I was wondering do you think thats useless?

@@200degrees I'm just saying bro it's a really NiCE truck I don't recommend the color but man thats a real truck there. Easy to work in cheap parts solid

Yeah, it’s my only V8 and has a class 3 hitch so it tows any of my projects home, I make it work haha
Nah a truck with winches racks and lockers is dope! I love a good wheeling / working truck, has great purpose! As for this one, she built it as a show truck and that’s kind of what it was good for, if it was built differently then it would have a different purpose! I still really liked it though!

A squarebody has no practical purpose today? What planet are you from? The squarebody is a real truck and always will be a real truck with all of the practicality needed. Creature comforts does NOT a truck make.

I daily my 87 Silverado 2500 4" lift with Detroit locker in the rear. Chirps around every corner! Bought it from a nice old man that passed away. I named it Brucy in his honor. The truck rattles like crazy and don't get me started on the TBI, you that know know.

The couple who built this truck should have actually built a BBC and put it in. The engine will give you better gas mileage as it works much less hard compared to the SBC.

Why do you keep saying a square body is not useful there are so many aftermarket parts for one that you could make it in anything you want a daily driver a race car a work truck whatever

I'm not sure, this was just built by my friends who wanted it. Custom trucks like it should come up from time to time on marketplace or ebay that you could look into.

I just got done subscribing to Davisoffroadrides channel and those guys seeing your presentation would think you are a real fool. Jesus, man if you are gonna cut the shit out of a vehicle don't act like anybody else is twisting your arm to be in it. No ---that truck will never be "economical", and no that truck will never ride like your suburbanite car does, so either promote it positively on you-tube or don't do a video at all----do one on your car, you obviously are a yuppie not a greasy knuckled truck lover especially like I have been for 46 years restoring '67-'72 Chevy/GMC 4x4's and dairy farming for a living !!!!!!!! Huh, that’s too bad you took the video that way. I said the truck was great fun to drive, sounded good, I said it was one of the most entertaining vehicles I’d ever been in. I said before I even drove it that I loved it. I praised its creativity, its colour choice and how it made me feel (happy if you missed it)
Sure I said it wasn’t fuel efficient, but it isn’t, so that’s not really anything other than observation.
It’s a big blue mud truck that has a great sounding V8 and makes you smile when you drive it, and since it’s only driven in the summer for fun fuel economy doesn’t matter.
And I ended the video saying its flaws are what makes it special.
So I’m sorry if that video wasn’t what you liked, I appreciate that you watched it and I hope your restorations on your trucks go well! Cheers

I respect your thoughts and thank you for respecting mine. Take care bud !!!!! Jim & Jill Kiesau
