Yeah man! The amount of lights they have been dropping is kind of nuts. The g series looks like it’s geared for professionals so I’m excited to see what’s next
Nice video. Let help you out with your confidence rigging lights over head. Always make sure that you’re tightening the grip head on the right side pointing towards the heavier part (the light) that way if it slips or something, it will just tighten more and catch itself instead of loosening the grip head more, and possibly falling on the talent.
Thanks for the tips! It’s just that my other light that I usually rig overhead ( aputure 300x) is heavy as hell so having this light that is literally like 1 pound took the fear away hahaha
Was that an s1h rigged out? Nice! I rock and s1h/bs1h/eva1 for my main project and absolutely love lumix cameras with an olpf. Also have a pair of g9ii cameras for my “reels” type projects. LUMIX for the win and the review was great! I’m thinking of picking up the 500w
That was my S5IIX rigged out but right out of frame is my S1H rigged out hahaha I miss the olpf from the S1H so much. I know it’s been 2 months so did you end up getting it??? And if so how’s the 500w?!
@@cesarlorca_ dang in 2 months I sold my eva1, got a bgh1 to pair with my bs1h, sold a g9ii and replaced it with a gh7. So now I’m rocking a bs1h/bgh1/s1h/gh7/g9ii. The 500w is goated. No longer scared of windows in my scenes lol
@@cesarlorca_ I guess I have been and just dialing in my kit lol do it dude. On normal setups I’m running the light at 10% or less with a 6ft umbrella soft box and it looks so soft but the second I see windows I blast the brightness and all of a sudden I’ve got an image that looks like I got more DR lol it’s dope
Thanks bro! It’s definitely a bang for your buck kind of light. I’m not gonna lie I was skeptical when I got it but when I started using it I was like “ohhhh okay I get it”
Nice light and review! I really like how you reproduced the reference scenes! Comparing your @1:50 to the reference @2:03, how do you think they achieved that blue hue? I think that would have been cool to see you try to match that as well. And oh @0:24, is that achieved with a spotlight modifier? What did you use to achieve that background?
Thank you! They could have definitely used a light that is RGB with a blue hue or through white balance! If you set your light to a cooler temperature and the white balance cooler you can make white lights look cooler but you have to balance the other lights in the room I was going to do it through white balance but I forgot to make the scene cooler 😭 you made me realized this would be a good tutorial!!!
@@sixbit Welcome man. I understand for you for free it's not expensive, but there are people who does not get them for free. I hate these ADs on YT, this is a paid AD.
